  1. In all seriousness, K just showed his true colors. Pathetic
  2. Dude is a fantastic coach - sucks that he doesn’t give a damn about academics or rules - but hey right place in Houston lol
  3. ITH did a good film session on how effective we've been with lob play -- part of spreading the floor is opening up lobs, would bet on seeing more of that in this game.
  4. Cool. Something somewhat related you might want to look into -- learn about bank deposit account control agreements (DACAs) and Deposit Account Instructions and Service Agreements (DAISA's) -- it's good to develop niche practices, and not a lot of lawyers understand these. I represent primarily large banks and federal credit unions, in litigation (UCC, securities, account disputes generally, ACH and wire transfers etc.) and in preparing and revising their DACAs, DAISAs, deposit agreements, treasury management services agreements, etc., and developing an expertise in DACA/DAISA work (along with UCC stuff) helped me turn that into a steady niche practice for a few of my bank clients. You're a 1st year, you're getting the down and dirty grunt work, but the sooner the better in developing a working understanding of some potential niche areas, it will help you in developing business, and developing business is your route to job security / partnership, unless you want to go in-house at some point (which has its own risks, corporate layoffs, etc.). It's never too early to get the bus. going! Good luck --
  5. I know someone who passed out at the Bar Exam. Does that count?
  6. I'm probably biased too, but maybe -- Siakim's very good when healthy and he's working his way back to 100%, but OG is just a monster defensively and as he's now demonstrating fully capable of leading the Rap's scoring and as a 3-level scorer. Hope he stays healthy, think he'll continue to grow his game. And he's a stone cold killer. Aside from watching him play, I met him at an IU / Crean camp my son went to years back. He has those killer eyes, composure and presence (even as college kid) you see in guys like Kobe (RIP). Serious focus, a real killer look. Watching him defend is blast.
  7. Siakim's been back, OG continuing to play major role on both ends -- last night's game: 9-19 (most shots), 6-10 from the arc and 5-6 from stripe for 29, 6 boards, 3 steals, 2 assist to 0 TO's, in 41 minutes - most on team. OG is a beast, if he stays healthy he can turn into an all-star level player
  8. Prov closes out Wiscy A little justice in the world
  9. And Duke. And Duke. And more Duke. And UK. And More UK…
  10. Congrats -- and welcome (or maybe here is where your impending doom should lie) to a life of lawyering.... :) Yours truly, another lawyer
  11. He's had strong games in Prov's first two: 12 points (4-6), 8 boards, 5 assists to 0 TO's 18 points (4-9, and 9-12 from stripe), 3 boards, 3 assists, 3 TO's
  12. Revamped prediction IU 81 St Who 76
  13. SIAP - Wood's post-game presser. Like that he ends on saying Lander is coming --
  14. We’re still in a (much better) Covid world, it takes time to get back to normal
  15. Some more thoughts on the contributions and minutes of Race, Geronimo, Galloway, Stewart, Kopp and Bates. How their minutes get sorted out over the next 3-4 games is going to be interesting. Race's double-double last night came on 3-5 FG's, 1-2 from the arc, 5-6 FT's, 10 boards, 1 block, but he also had 3 TO's - 0 assists, 1 foul -- played the fewest min of the starters, 16 min. I couldn't tell if that limited his min or if it was how well Geronimo came in and played -- Geronimo, in 18 min, finished with 6 pts on 2-3 FG's, 1-2 from the arc (I would like to see him shoot more, his shot is good), 1-2 FTs, 2 assists to 1 TO, 2 boards, and his usual strong D. Meanwhile, Stewart's 0-5 for 0 points covered 17 min (0-4 from arc), came with 2 boards, 1 steal, 1 block, 0 TO's. Galloway came in and showed a really solid game, in 23 min, finishing 7 pts on 3-7, 1-3 from arc, 3 assists to 1 TO, 2 boards, 1 foul. Kopp's shot will start dropping imo, his outside game is strong, and he plays like a vet doesn't make many mistakes, but isn't scoring well so far. Last night's line: 19 min, 4 points on 1-4 (0-1 from arc), 2 boards, 2-2 from stripe, 1 assist to 0 TO's, 2 fouls. Pretty active hands in the lane. Bates stepped in with 19 min, 3 pts on 1-3 (1-1 arc), 3 boards, 1 assist to 1 TO, 2 fouls. Can tell he's a frosh, but man his game is clearly showing what a dominant player he can be. Has all the tools to go with rock solid confidence and poise already, on both ends. His 2-way play is going to be key over the season, imo, to how well we finish. We brought in shooting, the outside shot is an emphasis (and should be), and focusing on early poor shooting of a couple of guys really doesn't have that much utility at least at this point imo, as this offense (100 x better than under CAM already) is set up to spread the floor, as 1 in 4 out or just running inside-out, and we're seeing Stewart and Kopp out there because they bring outside shooting to go with veteran play. Still, while it's early, I can see Galloway or Geronimo starting (though starting isn't as important to me as who finishes, and who plays how long and with whom). Both are great options with upside. If Galloway can get the outside shot to drop consistently, he could turn into a serious impact player imo. He plays kind of like a point forward. Geronimo already has the shot, need to see it more, and I do think the more we see of him the better we're going to be over the season.
  16. That P stewart's 0-4, otherwise pretty solid
  17. Geronimo with the 3! and Bates with the assist
  18. If he gets a triple double with blocks, that would be just nuts. Another uber impressive game from TJD
  19. TJD running lucky 7's 7 blocks, 7 boards, 17 points. Damn
  20. If his shooting becomes consistent, he's a much better player.
  21. Now let's see how well the team has dialed into playing the full 40 minutes -- looks like they are
  22. He doesn't often jump out of the box score, and his shot mechanics have needed a lot of work, but he sees the floor really well, slashes downhill really well, defends well, and plays with a chip on his shoulder. He's a solid player, add consistent shooting ...
  23. I can't believe we only scored 47 in the first half. Geez.
  24. couple things worth noting, we're shooting 85% from the stripe, TJD 6-7. Race at 1-2 from the arc. And man was I off on the pregame prediction. Shocker :)
