  1. We need our guards to at least limit Buie and Audige. I like Gallo and JHS here, but those guys are a challenge.
  2. And having watched them just beat PU our guys should come in after film more ready than they otherwise might.
  3. OK "two of the top teams" means "the other two top teams," gotcha. Kinds of working hard here to clarify for our not having done what they have, haha :)
  4. ^^ This program as developed by Moren is exceptional. No flash in the pan here, the program is in great shape. Hope that the men's program is developing similarly. Starting to look like it, more time to find out
  5. ? We beat PU, the #1 team in the B1G. We beat (stomped) the Illini, they're currently 3rd, and MSU, they're currently 4th.
  6. Would def like to see the return of our inside-out perimeter game, they’re going to have to double TJD so would think it’ll be there
  7. 12th in power rankings 12. Indiana Hoosiers (18-7) Previous ranking: In the waiting room This week: at Northwestern (Wednesday), vs. Illinois (Saturday) Outside of Trayce Jackson-Davis' dominance and Jalen Hood-Schifino generally playing Robin to his Batman, Indiana's stretch of eight wins in nine games has seen a variety of different ways to win. Four of the first five wins in the run came by at least 15 points, but the last three have come by a combined 12 points. The Hoosiers made nine 3s in a win over Michigan State and 10 3s in a win over Ohio State -- but made five or fewer in the other six wins. Race Thompson essentially missed four of the wins (three DNPs, and one game with four minutes) and played in four. As long as Mike Woodson has the likely runner-up for National Player of the Year, though, that might be all that matters. https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/35645277/alabama-new-no-1-purdue-upset-men-college-basketball-power-rankings-2022-23
  8. So does NW get ranked? I mean, 9-5 tied w/us for 2nd in B1G, 18-7 overall, 3-1 against AP, wins include #1 PU, us in the Hall, Illinois, @MSU,. I get that their OCC is weak but kind of surprising to me that they're not getting a little more love, tied w/us for 2nd and with those Ws.
  9. Right there with you, picked IU to win, somehow finished 22nd, and moved up from 13 to 10th. However, my confusion evaporated the second I noticed that @Josh finished dead last. :)
  10. So PU has @MD and us NW has a gauntlet left, us, @MD, @Illini , @ Rutger if we can win @NW, and that will be a battle, we may win the conf with a W a PU, at least that’s a possibility— starting to feel like the year with Vic, Cody winning the conf @MIch
  11. It’s going to be rocking when we play them, should be a great game
  12. That steal may seal this game
  13. This is further showing how PU benefitted from their easier schedule
  14. I think this ish is bout to happen
  15. A min and a half from our closing in a bit in PU’s B1G lead
  16. Make that a one possession game NW - PU
  17. Yeah I agree — Woodson got him focused when they had that sit down, he came out of that with 3 strong games, and shortly came his injury. Now he’s also not 100 percent but made up for it in effort yesterday. Now the question for him is can he get healthy and bring that energy while bring keyed in.
  18. Basically— he doesn’t create his own jumper off the bounce / dribble, he isn’t creating his own “shot”. JHS can beak defenders down and get to his spot for the pull up. X is pretty good at creating his own shot as well but without him it’s really only JHS and TJD (in middle / paint) who can create their own shot
  19. Stevie Wonder and Ray were laughing about it
  20. Really wish they’d address the unbalanced scheduling in the B1G. PU was given a clear advantage this year
  21. We weren’t able to get open outside looks and the kind of inside-out O we’ve seen the past several games bc they played TJD straight up without doubling. Think that’s the first time TJD hasn’t been double-teamed in a long time. Looks like another step we need to take - being able to free up shooters when there’s no double team. Glad JHS was able to get it done, but yeah, unbalanced
  22. Math is hard :) We disagree, and Race’s health/conditioning matters, he has not been the same player. We’ll see how this all pans out, what I hope to see is the kind of attacking play we’ve seen continue. Now back to enjoying the W
