I'm not so much concerned about having played them before. Schematically, I trust our staff and agree we'll be ready to play. In the back of my mind though, the slightest concern I have about having played them already is what they could have learned about individual player tendencies. Not a football expert at all and don't pretend to be, but I'd think that every position group may have certain tells that you'd pick up more easily after having already seen it up close. That said, I don't think there's anything that significant there or it probably already would have been exploited at some point. Won't be easy the rest of the way no matter who we play. So excited.

FSU up 5 on Duke with 2:16 left in the first half

All four HCs left in the CFP are part of Saban's coaching tree.

So we all woke up giddy after seeing IU football beat Alabama to a pulp at the Rose Bowl, huh? Awesome. Most thoroughly enjoyable game from start to finish I think I've ever watched. Only team with a bye in the 12 team format to advance, is that right? On paper, things definitely broke in our favor yesterday. I'd have preferred TTU to Oregon. Respect to them. Will not be an easy path to a title at all regardless... but, Miami or Ole Miss instead of Georgia or Ohio State coming out of the other side of the bracket is huge. I think this just may be a team of destiny fellas.

Oh yeah, anybody pushing that noise can pound sand. I'm trying not to count chickens before the eggs hatch but... we really should have beaten Oregon by more when we won on the road. I'll take our chances on a neutral site with our team and staff as dialed in as they are. Trophy room growing in Bloomington. That's a fact.

Assuming we beat Oregon, not facing the SEC champ will definitely fuel some very stupid commentary in the offseason. That said, I think the path to a title against Miami or Ole Miss is probably easier than one that includes Georgia. We are definitely the best team left IMO. So excited. This could be the year.

It won't be an easy road of course, but Oregon may be the toughest game left between IU and the title. Not facing OSU or Georgia in the championship game feels like it would be quite a fortunate break. Not that we need one. (Writing this while UGA could certainly still come back against Ole Miss)

I'd be sort of very happy to have Ole Miss advance instead of Georgia, counterintuitive as that may be

The salty tears of Bama fans crying uncle will be so delicious. I will bust a gut when I see any of them complaining about us running up the score on them. This is the most thoroughly enjoyable game of the Cignetti era and that is saying something. We're playing a team we KNOW we can beat next. Can you taste the championship game yet boys?

So many people in the "media" and generally on social media were calling him the worst winner ever. Comparing his stats to 2019 Burrow and neglecting to mention the rule changes that mean less possessions and hence less production. Silly, but motivating. Thankfully Fernando doesn't waste his time with external noise, but I doubt he's totally ignorant to the narratives. Tonight's performance is a wonderful crow sandwich for those folks.
