Grand Canyon is the only for-profit D1 university. Anyone else know that? It would make sense for them to try and win. Gotta get that profit. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -
Early BIG Projections (2020-21)

He was on radars though. Why he got hyped like did going into his Sophomore season. People saw a guy could be an excellent 3-and-D guy in the NBA. One that could guard just about any position. Could play the 3 and 4. TJD can be seen as a guy that can play the 5 and that could play the 4 if he can at least get a 15-18 foot jumpshot. He’s a role player in the league as a rebounder and rim protector. But you have to be able to hit a shot outside of 5 feet unless you can jump out of the gym. TJD is a Tristan Thompson mold. Even at 6-9 he will be able to play center as he builds lower body strength and has the length to rebound and block shots. Honestly, unless he starts shooting the 3 like Watford, he’s a 4 year player. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

And what’s a pro scout going to tell him that Archie couldn’t? Beef up, get quicker, work on your right hand, develop a jump shot. That’s all he will be told. Durham, consistency, consistency, consistency, more consistency, show up against good teams, shoot the 3 more, ball handling, decision making. What’s changed since this rule was added? Anyone go out and get way better because of the “advice” or “input” they got? Nope. It’s just a waste of the NBA guys time when he has several guys to work with who actually have a shot right now or who are actually on their radar to make it Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

Basketball is completely different. You can just google yourself at this point and figure it out. If if you’re not even on the radar as a first round pick, no reason to go. You just need to be better. If you’re not a lottery pick, no reason to leave school early. If you’re leaving just because of the money, you won’t make it. Virginia will be interesting next season. They lose their two best players in Diakite and Key. But return Clark and Huff. Morsell will have a year under his belt. They bring in a couple good freshmen. And Sam Hauser is eligible to play. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

Wisconsin will be in a good spot as all but Pritzl return. If they don’t win the Big Ten next season, I don’t know. It’ll be Gards best team. Reuvers, Trice, Ford, Anderson, Davison and Potter are all Seniors. Those guys pulled in a ton of minutes this past season outside of Pritzl and King, who are both gone. I think Rocket Watts is going to take over and they will be just fine for the scumbag that coaches. Langford could be returning along with Tillman. A starting 5 of Watts, Langford, Henry, Tillman and Bingham is going to compete. Iowa... can they play defense? That’ll be the difference between them being a Top 10 team if Garza returns or continuing to be an average Top 35 team. Even without Garza, Franny can coach an offense featuring a wing player like Wiescamp. He’s proven that with Marble, Uthoff and Jok. Wieskamp is the best NBA prospect off the roster if you had to pick one. Time for him to step up for them. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

I don’t see a problem with Minny sucking. Add them to Northwestern and Nebraska. Penn State likely to fall back. I see the Big Ten being 8-9 deep next year how it should be. Even though really Purdue wasn’t that good. The numbers just like them, the win column did not. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

What was your first/earliest memory of...

I also remember some random games. One against Butler when Graves(?) was there. One against Xavier, I believe Romaine Sato was there and another again Charlotte when they were decent. Another against Michigan State when Paul Davis was there. I think it went to OT. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
Just to take my mind and hopefully others off what going on around the world, I did a fun article about realignment. What kind of moves would you like to be seen made or new conferences made? This is just for fun and nothing serious. What benefits do you think it would have on college basketball? https://xavierharkness3.wixsite.com/topictalk/post/off-the-top-conference-realignment Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

It’s odd to look back because obviously that team went on a great run. But the 11-12, 12-13 and 15-15 or even the 07-08 teams were probably better teams overall. That 2002 team spent just 8 weeks in the Top 25 before the season and the highest was 20th and that was in November. Just kinda wild to think about. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
