I think bad wins are more of a fan thing for sure. Like winning but looking god awful. I think fans would see Indiana beating Indiana State by 1 as a bad win. Last night was just absolutely ugly and we are lucky. Ratings take a lot of efficiency numbers into account right? So that hurts us in "bad wins."
I don't remember it ever being so prevalent. As in it being such a big topic point. It's a resume builder now to have "good losses." Used to if you lost, you just threw that game out almost unless it was to a really bad team.
With a miracle win over Ohio State, Indiana would be 12-8(7-6) with a possibility of being ranked in the Top 25 for once. Problem is that it'll take an absolute miracle.
Archie has to be one of the dumbest coaches I've ever seen. So lucky to win. You NEVER call a timeout when the other team has zero. You literally allowed them to actually get set. You should have already known what to do before even shooting the FTs and what defense to set up in. That's crap you do in practice.
