Whoever our next coach is needs to hire some great assistants. Im not sure what our current exist on the bench for. An assistant is where you want an IU and I'm not talking about Mike Roberts. I'm saying throwing money at Calbert Cheaney to return. Or go ing guys AJ Guyton a shot at being an assistant. We need an Xs and Os coach that has fire and charisma. I think right now we have the fire. Xs and Os not so much... Zero charisma. I honestly wouldn't mind throwing a big bag of money at Kenny Payne for a HC spot. He was massive in Cals success at UK. We definitely need an assistant or two who had big time skill when playing. People tried talking up the Mike Roberts hire, but he wasn't anything near what we needed considering he just about did nothing here in his playing days. I just hope the next coach is ready to roll and hired great assistants. Those are positions I feel we really overlook at times.

Tat is already a Top 15 player and arguably Top 10. Great offensive and defensive talent that can play the 3-4 spot.

NBA and NFL are god awful about recycling coaches. Stevens and Donovan will just get passed around.

No sleep lost. But if the standard is set that Penn State is a good win because how dare you look at it objectively, then it makes college basketball a complete joke.

I mean at some point you can't look at it black and white. It's clear, Penn State isn't good. Theyre an outlier just like Colgate. At some point, you just scoot the win to the side and realize it's not a meaningful win and only a bad loss.

So basically look at it with no logic? Man I can't wait to have such a great win over a team who can't even get over .500.

Because they know they'd get picked apart for how terrible it is. They also know they can change whatever they want to fit whatever they want.

Archie shouldnt have even made it home with a job. Just ask one of the useless assistants to finish the season and see what happens.

You should already be talking about it as the game goes down to the wire with your assistant coaches and down the stretch as FTs are shot. Pulling Phinisee over as Al shoots FTs and letting the team know what to do. You don't give a terrible team with zero timeouts, a free timeout. It's one thing in coaching that needs to go away.

I guess for a conference like that. But I'm speaking more about conferences like the NEC.

And every coach is incredibly stupid for doing so. If you haven't practiced that, you're not doing your job. If your senior guard can't relay what you're doing after FTs in a pre FT huddle, you're not doing your job. If refs aren't calling a shooting foul just because a coach tells them they are going to foul, the ref isn't doing their job. And we are lucky B1G officials are so stupid.

That's really only a problem for small conferences. 1 bid conferences would be smart to just cancel tourneys and just have the best team go to the NCAA tourney. Maybe schedule an extra game against the top two, especially if there is a tie.

Wizards are pretty terrible. Doesn't help that their 3rd best player is out for the year.

Archies end of game coaching had smart moves and pure stupidity all mixed in one. Smart to use your fouls. Dumb as can be to call a timeout. Dumb as can be to foul knowing they'd look to get fouled on a shot(which should have been called).
