Poor team and fans probably thought they were going for a historic season... And then lost 13 straight.

It wouldn't be all the sunshine and rainbows that someone like McRoberts would throw out there. You're going to get a lot more truth out of guys like Green.

This is why I believe the eye test should be such a priority this season. Not enough data for teams to be doing blind resumes.

Really sad thing is that Archie has set us so far back that we are probably 2 years away from another tourney appearance.

How would we have done with Brunk? The same. Why? He's not that good. Just a body. Statically, he averaged 6.8 points. TJD averaged 13.5 last season. This year TJD is at 19.1 points. So he basically made up for Brunks absence by himself. I'm not sure why we make such a big deal about his absence. If TJD is that good, it shouldn't matter. We never complained about it with Zeller because we knew he'd be playing most of the game anyway.

I'd say with the penalties that could still come... If he's reached out to us.. he knows what's coming.

I'd take Mack or Enfield. Hell I'd take both. Let's just have the best bench in college basketball.

Crazy thing about it... Last 20 seasons... Purdue is 20-14 against Indiana Duke is 26-19 against North Carolina Kentucky is 15-7 against Louisville. The IU-PU rivalry is still closer than the two rivalries that are "better" even with Purdue on a 9 game winning streak.

Which literally means nothing if you lose.

It's a season where eye test and some critical thinking are important.

It's the toughest schedule only relative to this seasons competition.

You really just need a coach who can unlock guys. Somdone who can put guys in positions to win. Oddly enough, all of these guys would have been better under Crean. Leal is likely to end up the most important of the group. The IQ, vision, hustle from the 4 was higher than any other group we have collectively.

Justin Smith's block was pretty awesome to win one of those.

Oklahoma States Mike Boynton will probably get brought up eventually. Maybe not for the IU job but there are going to be several jobs opening up. Would really suck for Oklahoma State to have back to back coaches poached away.

Well sure. But this board has been very wrong on Purdue this season, Ohio State and Michigan. Illinois last season. Indiana in general.
