People like to throw around Romeo's name a lot for a lot of blame. I don't know why we'd blame a kid who could have just gotten his surgery at the beginning of the season, sat out and been a top 5 pick. Instead he battled through the injury on a crappy team and in an offense that only hurt him more. There is only 1 very consistent thing that's been around all 4 years during all of this teams problems.

I'm not sure why that would make anyone back off. That'd be even better for a resume. I don't know how good of a team Colgate is as a whole, Jordan Burns is good though. Do they have the potential to be another CJ McCollum lead Lehigh though?

We should have played them for Q1 win.

It's his best class, but one he doesn't need to be coaching anymore. Why? They'll never improve. Just like everyone else on the roster.

Here is a play from Purdue... How could it be better? Well let's look... Leal should already be in the corner. As Durham is coming off Races pick and roll/pop, Leals defender has to help or stay on Leal. He stays, two man game with Durham and Race(if he rolls) or 1v1 with the option to kick it out to Leal if his defender helps. On the other side, Phinisee is running all the way through(which is beyond stupid, it completely makes the Race screen useless). Phinisee should be cutting off TJDs screen, no lob? Pop back out to the corner. At this point, you're just distracting yours and TJDs defender from seeing the other side of the floor. At the same time, if Durham doesn't drive or hands it off to Leal, then TJD can still set another screen for Phinisee and work an off ball pick and roll. There's so much more that can happen if guys were just placed where they're supposed to be, and they never are. Ever.

We don't get a lot of open looks from 3 as is and defenses already sag off of us from the perimeter. At this point, any team is stupid defensively if they guard anyone outside of the 3 point line. If we had shooters, the inside would be open more, but we still wouldn't be getting a bunch of good looks from 3. It's not what the offense is built to do. The people in the spots where shooters SHOULD be, is always someone like Race, TJD or Brunk. While someone like Durham is off somewhere that has no angle for a great pass.

Literally no point if Archie has one more season.

My parents had dinner with Crean a few times. I don't think he was a bad guy by any means. He seemed nice the one time I got to meet him. He signed my dad's leg at Hoosier Hysteria in his second season at IU. It sucks he couldn't be more consistent in winning and recruiting.

I mean... I was in a better offense in the 4th grade... Soo...

One of the worst defenses for Archie that I've seen is that "Brunk was out so TJD had to play out of position." TJD is a center. The TJD-Brunk was already shown to be absolutely awful.

He's going to be up for POY likely next season.

I find it odd that each strength coach we get doesn't seem as worried about jumping higher and running faster. Just trying to get everyone to where they can't wipe their own a$$es because their so buff. Instagram training.

I could see that. Some good bigs in the league with TJD, Garza, Liddell and Kofi right ahead of Dickinson.

What's the problem with an "NBA'ish" offense? Better than a high school offense yea?

I wouldn't say Romeo was overhyped. He still averaged 16.5 points with a screwed up shooting hand. I'm not sure why people thought he'd be Jordan Hulls from 3. He was a scorer that got stuck in an Archie Miller defense and in a conference whose basketball games resemble rugby more than basketball.

That doesn't actually help. Teams now really just don't care if we shoot 3s. Why would they? Even if we had shooters, our offense doesn't have the movement to get guys open. They're open because the defenses allow it.

Sounds like a bunch of crappy excuses. It won't be pretty if Archie is kept. It'll be the end of Indiana basketball.

He successfully recruited Al with Romeo. But didn't recruit a guy to play the 3. So had to keep starting him.
