Everyone knows it's a complete scam and society has taken every bit of bait. Not everyone needs to go to college. The vast majority never need to. Some may need to go to a trade school at most. How many kids are going to IU and getting useless degrees at $80k free dollars the govt has handed the school? And that happens everywhere. I mean really is you're not a doctor of some sort, engineer, teacher(maybe HS level, elementary teachers hardly need it anymore because everything is online). To ask someone to go get a useless degrees just so they can coach and maybe teach a useless class, is beyond stupid.

Most jobs don't need degrees. Just training. You don't need a degree to coach basketball. Plain and simple. Just crappy ways to get a lot of money by schools.

I've said it for a long time, the media absolutely hates Indiana basketball. I think it just gets passed down to be extremely butt hurt because Knight always put the garbage in its place. Even the last couple season we've been really good, especially in 12-13, we didn't anywhere near the love that UofL, Michigan, Michigan State, Duke or even a bad Kentucky team got.

Well Boeheim was hired in 1976 as well. If you think about it, modern day college basketball(start of the NCAA Tourney) was 1939. So modern day college basketball had only been going on for 27 years. So finding coaches with a ton of experience like some people want, was a completely different game back at that time.

Wants - Fast paced offense that gets up and down the floor with player and ball movement. Gets shooters open. Gets driving lanes open. - player development - No packline trash. Sick of the "need a defensive system." You just need basics and hustle to play defense. Offensive philosophy is WAY more important. Any coach can get guys to play good man to man defense. - personality can't be that of a cardboard box. - one who will hire great assistants. Archies were just god awful. Every single one of them. I really don't want a single one of them back.

If you know how to coach basketball, then you don't. Don't need a degree for it. Just stupid standards for no reason.

Having to have a degree to go coach is incredibly stupid. You're teaching basketball. Not a class.

I'd try try more to be like Kansas and UNC. Top talent that sticks around and top talent that leaves with a play style that's exciting and fun for fans and players.
