"They need to run motion..."

So people only care because he renewed Buckner? What about "He falsely suggested that IU was unique in having alumni determine a public university’s board members, even though other state schools including Purdue University still have appointees that are elected by the Purdue Alumni Association."

#FreeCoachCorsaro Yeah, I think he's been set free already.

Honest question, what good work was he credited for? -

So some people are extremely happy all of the time. -
I never understand why this process takes so long. Seems like they would have a system in place to make the decision for them. Like do they investigate ie interview doctors and such or what are they doing that take so long to approve or not?

I don't think so. He'll have to wait until it's open again.

I had a bit of inside info on this situation and it was looked at as a shake down for the get go. I am glad they took the accusations very seriously though. Different times, different procedures. Do you mind me asking where you played both in college and professionally?

I would have to guess Josh Harris since he just committed and he's from FLA and this guy is based out of Fort Lauderdale. -

We shouldn't give money to younger people because they might be irresponsible? Sure some kids might blow that money just like some pro athletes blow all their money, but that's not any sort of legit reason not to pay them if someone is willing to. -

Yeah, I would say it's pretty much necessary to be honest. A good coach should be able to get us in the tournament relatively easily too. -

Agreed. It's easy to say "I would be shocked..." about anyone visiting that is not said to have any other visits or favorites. IU has a lot of $ so any non big name that is still scheduling a visit with us most likely has some sort of understanding of what an offer and role would be. So at that point there's at least a 50% chance a guy like this would commit on the visit. That being said, I don't know anything about Jason Drake or who else is interested in him (St. John's?), but if he's visiting IU knowing who's already committed, there's a good chance we are his best outstanding offer. -
Not a grand slam triple? :)

I was thinking about this the other day. This is never an issue anymore. And I don't think kids have gotten "smarter". -
I live in Chicago, and it's not a "hell hole." Sure, it has its issues, like many other cities do. The taxes are high for sure, making some neighborhoods less, if not unaffordable. However, if you look at the value of a house you bought ten years ago, it's value has likely gone up considerably. I've lived in several major cities—Los Angeles, Seattle, New York—and when you compare them, Chicago is much cheaper relatively. As for crime, it tends to be cyclical, neighborhood based. I've been here for almost 20 years, and despite all the talk, crime isn't any worse and since the pandemic has improved, and I've lived in various neighborhoods. Some neighborhoods that were once considered sketchy ie Uptown, West Loop, and near the United Center have or will be undergoing significant development. Grand Ave is night and day what was even 4 years ago. Don't get me wrong; there are issues like some you've mentioned: taxes, pension stuff, segregation, and infamous Chicago political corruption, but calling the city a "hell hole" is off base. I’m likely moving in the next few years—mostly out of a shift in priorities rather than any disdain for the city itself. Outside of the Chicagoland area, I agree there isn't any specific reason to live in IL, but Chicago is a great city, with especially great food and I travel around the country quite a bit.

You also have to watch out for the "little people" and the time warps from what I have been told.

https://247sports.com/article/rick-pitino-slams-ex-louisville-assistant-kenny-johnson-pathological-liar-for-iona-coachs-career-turmoil-202686579/ https://www.leoweekly.com/news/rick-pitino-says-former-louisville-assistant-is-a-pathological-liar-and-ruined-his-life-15766263 "Ruined his life" Don't get me wrong, Pitino doesn't have some sort of track record of accountability, truth telling or moral high ground. I just find all of this stuff interesting. And then Johnson ended up with Archie. It's like a soap opera.

Seems like Pitino is not a big fan these days based on a few articles I read from a couple of years ago. Aren't we rumored to be playing St. John's next year?
