Yeah, so Aaron hit the nail on the head. We don’t have the talent to hang with Maryland as it stands right now. Primarily in the length department. Came out playing hard, but just don’t have the horses to beat that Maryland team over 40 minutes.

Agreed that Maryland has superior talent and length. I will day though, they set a moving screen almost every possession they have the ball and it’s not being called.

Our lack of depth and size is rearing it’s ugly head in the third quarter. Maryland just too much length on both ends of the floor. On a 24-7 run. Moren still not playing Any two of Holmes/Gulbe/Allen on the court at the same time and our lack of stature is getting exposed.

Good half. Great shooting. Man, we could use some length though. Holmes was in beast mode. Patberg playing tough. Maryland’s press and zone is slowing down our offensive possessions, but thank god we’re shooting 70% from the field. 20 more minutes girls. Bring it home.

Good shooting quarter, but a lackadaisical end. After a made bucket for Maryland, we didn’t have anybody to inbound the ball and five second ran off the clock. Patberg had to race it up the court as a result and turned it over for a Maryland layup to beat the buzzer. Overall, offense is getting good looks. Moren might need to consider a lineup with Holmes and Gulbe I’m at the same time, because Maryland's size is killing us on their offensive glass. Charles is a handful. Just don’t think our “essentially” four guard lineup can defend them for 30 more minutes.

Good start. Patberg playing like she doesn’t want to lose at home. Defense has been stout. 11-4 Hoosiers at the first TO.

BTN couldn’t have put Tyra Buss on the IU game tonight? Sent her out to cover a brutal Mich/Purdue game?? She must be being punished for something.

#8 Miss. St up 13 on #23 Tenn with a couple minutes to go in the first half. UT has some really good size at the 4/5 spot, but they don’t shoot the ball very well. 11-30 from the field, 0-3 from distance. Miss. St. Doesn’t really impress me very much though. I wouldn’t mind being in their region if they get a #2-seed. They do most of their damage from outside and their bigs are long, but not very athletic. I think Holmes could do well with her quickness in the post against them and they’d have a hard time stepping out to guard Gulbe.

3 hours to game time! Is anybody going to be at the Hall? Also, is the weather as dicey as someone mentioned it was supposed to be? Really hoping the crowd shows out.

I would start the game thread for tonight’s game, but I don’t know where to find all the fancy pregame stats that OF and Mamasa include. That being said, I haven’t had this much anticipation for a Hoosiers game in a few years. Literally keep looking at the clock and wondering why time isn’t moving faster so tip-off will get here. I think the girls can come out and get off to a hot start and then likely hold on for dear life against a really good Terps team. We need this one. This is our last regular season game against a top team, so it’s our best opportunity to put IU on the committees minds for seeding. Come on 8pm!

My original prediction at the half was almost right. Vandy wins it 99-90. First conference win in their last 27 tries. Christian Watford was at the game and gave Jerry Stackhouse some love after the game.

I mean, how many five stars younger brothers of former IU players do we get a crack at? Should be a total “in”. Took a break from the B1G tonight with PU blowing out Iowa and have been watching Nova/Butler. Man. Great basketball on both sides. An old school slug fest. Nova shouting 49% from the floor, Butler shooting 55% from the floor. Running great offensive sets and getting good looks and easy buckets. Great game if you have FS1.

Man. PU v. Iowa game really highlighting how much the college game is a 3-point shooting game now. The NBA and the Warriors have changed the way the game is played. Iowa has a dominant post player, national player of the year candidate, Purdue shoots the three. No contest.

Slow night on the women’s side tonight and no B1G games, but tomorrow is a big night of hoops. Four games between ranked teams. Did everyone see the postgame presser from Izzo last night after the loss to PSU where he went off on MSU fans posting things about his players on Twitter? I’ll leave a link below. The guy just seems like such a whiney baby. I get what he’s trying to do, be the protective coach that cares for his players like family and will stick up for them, blah blah blah. But it seems so phony. Come on Tom, first, your players are bringing their phones to you to show you the mean things anonymous people are posting on Twitter? Tell them to stop going on twitter and toughen up. Second, you sound like a grumpy old man. And one who hasn’t had an average team in a while, so he forgot how to lose with class and not deflect from the fact that you’re having trouble coaching a team with only one McD’s All-American.
