  1. If we can handle the press we have a good shot at holding on. Their press is usually what gets them back into games because of their pressure. Need to keep control of the pace.
  2. Man, that half was like two different teams to start and to finish. Great toughness.
  3. Great start. Man I wish Moren could work with the men’s team on press break. Four easy layups just busting the press to start the game. Let’s keep the foot on the gas ladies!
  4. Hoosiers at home. Need the win. I think this one is gettable. Moren will have them ready. Yarden neeeds to be “on” tonight in her jekyl and Hyde couple games. Let’s defend the hall ladies!
  5. I’ve had several PM’s so wanted to drop a quick line to the broader board. Love this group and fully intend to continue to contribute to the community, Im not going anywhere. (Sorry to a few of you) But I have been asked to quiet down and I’m going to respect that. Talked to another guy in the know and he got the same messsage. The things being worked out right now they want to do with less heat and smoke. I’ll give some more insight when I can. Think things should be pretty quiet until after the B1G tourney. All is well.
  6. Not sure about your self awareness, so I’m just gonna let you know, this came off really backhanded. If that’s what you were trying for, then you do you. But wanted to make sure you understood what everyone other than you was thinking when they read this.
  7. Also highly successful. I thought the question was about former players that are A-list coaches. But would agree with you wholeheartedly if it’s just folks in sports positions.
  8. Tara Vanderveer, Todd Yeagley. That might be the list.
  9. Michigan AD spoke on a podcast today and stated an updated contract is in the works for Dusty May. Not surprising.
  10. Decent half of basketball. Kind of ugly, but I think that’s just the way we have to make games if we’re gonna stay in them. Here comes the dreaded halftime adjustments though.
  11. All due respect, and we haven’t spoken directly on here or via messages. But it was widely reported in the media that BS turned down IU’s 7 year/$70m offer. So based on your sources, we weren’t far along in conversations before throwing a contract offer to him? I know you have connections in Boston, but my connections at IU would not discuss contract numbers unless we had both done due diligence and were preparing to negotiate. Not looking to argue, and respect what you’re saying. But in my opinion and according to my sources on the IU side, we were at the end stages of agreeing to hire BS last time until some things went wrong.
  12. I disagree. My inbox is always open if this new poster wants to share sources and info.
  13. It was kind of tongue in cheek, but someone mentioned Peegs pay site that Rabby hinted Dolson has his man and was hiring a search firm just for the optics. Sounds quite similar to what I posted on here… on Wednesday… for free. :)
  14. Did you like his comment about how we haven’t been the same team since the Illinois game “when all hell broke loose.” Did he not make the trip to Atlantis? They’ve been exactly the same team. Felt like that was backhanded towards the fans because they voiced their displeasure at the Illini game. Some boos didn’t break this team. This team was broken before the season even started and has shown it at every opportunity. Just a sad man.
  15. So this is just my opinion as a fan, not because I’ve heard anything to support it. But I personally just don’t see May leaving a really good Michigan job with things going well and similar resources after giving it just a year. It feels like that’s not something he would do, or want to be know for doing based on his character. He worked hard, proved himself, and got a great job at a fantastic institution with great resources and basketball history that puts it solidly in the tier 1B or 1C category. They too, just fell off a bit after Belein left and have been trying to return to relevance. Yes, Dusty loves IU and has ties. But what if he comes here and none of his players follow, he has to keep most of our current roster, and he just stalls out of the gate and gets run out after 4-5 years? Does he want to take that risk just because he started his path with IU even though he’s essentially already “made it” right where he is? Maybe. Last year, he’s here. But he just started something and he’s got it going. If I was a betting man, he politely uses his feelings for IU, the team’s year one performance, and our vacancy to get himself a nice little extension. Well deserved. Just my two cents. Wouldn’t be devastated to be wrong.
  16. Yes. Obviously. Anything could happen. People have free will, situations could change. There’s no guarantees in life. But I believe what I’ve been told. I know the facts about what has been done and we’re preparing to do are in place right now. And if it does happen to go a different way unexpectedly, I’m very confident and happy with our “miss” scenario. This is much different than ‘21 replacing Archie. Coaches were looking at IU and saying I’ve got to go in there and be successful with those players, and even recruit some of them to come back - and I need to be competitive year one and two. NIL wasn’t in play yet. Flipping a roster wasn’t a thing like it is now. A coach now says, I’ve got more resources than almost every team in the country and will be able to get whoever I need to fit my system. And I get to be a hero for one of the most storied programs you could choose from. We had to scramble last time and heard “no” more than thrice. This week we’ve got major names in coaching reaching out to express interest. So yes. Objectively, we might get another kick in the dick. But I feel good right now we have our guy. We can’t miss this time. I myself am excited. All is good.
  17. Definitely fair. Player recruiting is so much different to predict though. I’ve been hoodwinked a few times (Trey Kaufman comes to mind). Kids just aren’t as formal and they tend to run their mouths for attention which can lead to things changing for one reason or another. Administration stuff and coaches, with the agents and lawyers and brand deals, etc. are a bit easier to follow with higher levels of certainty. And before the last negotiation with BS gets brought up, it WAS a done deal. As close as it can be when it’s in the pre-contract phase of the talks. We blew it in a lot of ways that have been beat to death. But at the time, that wasn’t bad information. It should have been believed. It just didn’t work out in that instance. Just my two cents for some reference as someone who is on record as saying we will get our guy. It’s all happening.
  18. Feel like I have an echo of people getting paid for their information. I’ve made a huge mistake. :)
  19. Man, try to make normal game comments, but no, “dance monkey, dance!” Sit tight.
  20. So, it was kind of an “imagine if” a few weeks ago, but with the results in the B1G we are actually very much in play to miss the B1G Tourney. Three teams below us at 4-8.
  21. What was with all that gushing stuff from him today anyway? Is that a relationship thing or an old person protecting their own thing? That was weird. Clearly Woody has not been any of the adjectives Raff was using.
