1. Win these next 2 and we’re in...people overthinking this. 6 quad 1 wins, no quad 3 or 4 losses, 5 top 25 wins, 3 top 10 wins which is most in the country (1 on the road). You’re gonna tell me that resume doesn’t make it in but a bubble team like Clemson with a 1-8 quad 1 record with gets in with a SOS of 48 does??? Stop looking back at history for reference. In the past the NET system and quad system never existed which is what the committee is using for their selection which will be to our benefit this year. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
2. CG up 29-27 with 1:30 left. TJD with 25 of those 29! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
3. I think 18 wins safely gets us in. I think we’d be on the fringe at 17-15 but still get in. But how many bubble teams would have 5 top 25 wins, 6 quad 1 wins (top 10 in the country) and ZERO quad 3 or 4 losses??? That’s a heck of a resume. Too many people are putting stock in the conference record or overall record. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
4. This is exactly why I think if we win out and win 1 game in the BTT we’ll be in no doubt. I remember Georgia got in at 16-14 and lost in first round of SEC tourney based on SOS alone in the early 2000s I believe. This net/quad system will do wonders for us...just have to take care of business. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
5. Looked like cups...and how about the blatant travel Tennessee committed with a second left but the referee foreshadowed and was too late on the call. If that’s correctly called, Ole Miss has 0.4-0.6 left and the ball at mid court. Barnes has to be shaking his head at everything from the charge 35 feet out to the travel. Wow. 6. Which sectionals is everyone going to? I'm going to try to make it to sectional 10 on Tuesday and watch Cathedral-LN...then hoping to go to Columbus North Saturday to hopefully watch Bloomington South-CN to see Leal play for the first time. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
7. I remember hearing about this as well. I believe it came from another site. I would love for this to be the case. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
8. Pacers still rolling without Vic...and now Turner for the time being. Still getting no respect but we're used to it. IN-visible. Love this team! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
9. Joe Lunardi still had us in at 13-13 earlier this week. Conference record means zero when it comes to the selection process. This new NET system would work in our favor as we'd be in the top 15 in Quad 1 wins if we win out the regular season. The committee thinks highly of the B1G this year. If we go 17-14, we're in. Book it. Not gonna happen but we have a chance. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
10. Purdue 18/18 from the FT line and that's why they win the close ones. Must be nice. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
11. 70.3% and ranked 166 over the past 4 years. Middle of the road. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
12. If we finish with 17-18 wins this team is going to the big dance. As crazy as it sounds, we're either going to the tourney or nowhere at all...our schedule will be in our favor unlike in years past. Do I think we can beat MSU, Wisky, Rutgers at home, and Illinois on the road? Yes. Will we though? No and that's what it's gonna take. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
13. It's the coach's fault guys aren't hitting their FREE throws??? You think these guys don't shoot free throws in practice. If you're playing Division 1 basketball you should probably already have figured out your best technique to shoot a FREE throw. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
14. Just checked out the NCAA stats for 3 FG % and FT % and we are ranked 320th and 325th (out of 353). WOOF. The fact that we are even in these games is remarkable. But hey let's just keep blaming Archie here... Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
15. TJD was absolutely dominant in CG's 68-38 win against my old school Columbus North. TJD had 8 dunks including a Karl Malone esque dunk (hand behind the head and ball cocked back to his feet) on a fast break. He was a highlight reel tonight and finished with 24 and 5. 16. I think Armaan will make it A LOT closer than anyone expected. I supposed if Cathedral goes on a run and wins state then he would have a small chance but TJD is a McD's AA and I can't see them not giving him the award no matter what. If TJD played on a team with more talent his numbers would be much better. I go to CG games regularly and teams have figured out they just need to double/triple down on him and force the rest of CG to beat them and you can see recently CG has struggled bc of this and TJD's numbers haven't been as impressive. 17. Interesting UK just offered 2020 PF Isaiah Todd tonight...from what I've been seeing he is most likely reclassifying to 2019. How many schollies does UK have left for 2019 assuming 2-3 go pro (only 2 players on NBAdraft.net from Kentucky getting drafted)? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
18. Agree with everything here. We had SO MANY open looks from 3 and missed so many bunnies. We'd be better off shooting blindfolded...it makes no sense. And the turnovers are just unbearable and for the most part unforced. You HAVE to value the ball and maximize possessions when you are trying to win on defense and can't hit the broadside of a barn especially. I'm gonna get bashed for this but if I'm Archie right now I'm putting all my eggs in the Sean McNeil basket. I will say at least we played terrific D and gave effort and had guys taking charges and diving on the floor for loose balls. Just need to keep that mentality and keep Green glued to the bench and I like our chances to compete and stay in games with anyone. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
19. I'll be there with my brother-in-law and his son who are die hard Purdue fans along with our friend who is a physician for the Purdue football team. I'm dreading it already [emoji19] Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
20. Remember the last time Keion was in Lexington in October and UK still had all of the other top recruits still on their "big board." Hope Keion didn't forget this... Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
21. IU - 70 Purdue -67 I will be at this game... Fun fact: IU is 13-2 this year when I watch/go to their games. Only 2 losses I've watched wasDuke and @Michigan. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
22. How can these guys play D1 ball and not be able to shoot with even the slightest consistency??? Is our weight training program just ruining these guys shots and throwing off their muscle memory? There's gotta be a reason for this. I could shoot backwards from half court blindfolded and hit 2-17. I know this isn't the biggest concern but my God it's bewildering . Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
23. It's a good thing those Duke players didn't take notes from LeBron and just give up and go sit at the end of the bench after getting down by 23... Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
24. Wow...felt like Duke was on a 152-2 run in the final 10 minutes and couldn't miss...and how about the game tying 3 with the between the legs pass for the 30 footer??? Wow. NOBODY is gonna touch Duke in the tourney. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
