I said it earlier and I’ll say it again, make sure you advance Vermont in your brackets. High IQ team with an Indiana kid running the show who also happens to be the programs all-time greatest 3-point shooter. This team shoots FTs and 3 FGs well and only averages 10 turnovers/game and to top it off they have a star/NBA prospect in Anthony Lamb. All the makings of a Cinderella. If Purdue drops to a 4, I’m hoping to see them get matched up with Vermont. Trio of Indiana kids who play smart and can shoot the ball. They are my Cinderella this year and think they legitimately will go to the Sweet 16. I think once the CBs start rolling in Friday morning we’ll have a relatively certain idea where he’s going. However, if we don’t see any picks being made then nobody outside of the family truly knows. I’ve mentally prepared myself for a UK pick and will be ecstatic if he picks IU...if IU beats OSU tomorrow, him picking UK definitely will not get me down AT ALL. This has to make fans feel good. People too focused on the amount of losses and conference record. I think a win against OSU and there shouldn’t be any reason to sweat and in all honesty I think we get in as an 11 at worst and avoid the play-in game...even possible we could move to the 10 line if things shake out for us. Texas is only in some brackets for one reason and that’s the Longhorn Network but even all that $ isn’t going to help them get a bid at 16-16. As far as the the talking heads go, they are just that...talking heads and shouldn’t be listened to when it comes to this process. These guys have never been in the “war room” during the selection process and are clueless as to what is measured/valued for the seeding. I used to always use Lunardi and used to be so shocked when the actual field/seeds were announced. Outside of the first 3 seeds he’s basically useless. I now venture over to his bracketologies for comic relief. Do yourself a favor and go to bracketmatrix.com and you can literally find 65+ bracketologists more accurate than Lunardi.
