  1. I really hope the fans/admin let Archie make it to next season...we have something REALLY special in the works. I honestly have zero expectations this year and am hoping for the best but there’s a lot of question marks and uncertainties going into this season and it’s impossible to gauge this team. Archie is really going to have to max the potential of every player this season. Not looking past this season but it’s hard to not get excited already for the following season knowing what we have coming in with Leal, Galloway, Geronimo, and possibly Garcia. 2. IU - 42 Rutgers - 13 Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  3. This team would’ve been much better with Luck without a doubt but even with Jacoby I think they can still contend in the playoffs this year. This team is only going to get healthier and better as the year progresses and as long as Jacoby plays within himself (which he has and I believe he will continue to do so) I like he Colts’ chances to not only make the playoffs but really contend. Ballard and Reich have done an amazing job with the hand they’ve been dealt and as a fan I couldn’t be happier with this organization and to have these 2 running the show. 4. Total speculation but with Green not being in any of the contests I have a feeling we won’t be seeing him in action today...my gut is saying we will find out he has a minor injury and don’t want to risk anything today. Hope I’m wrong but hard to believe he’s not in the 3 point OR skills competition. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  5. I noticed that as well...if that’s Tom Brady back there, that’s not only a penalty but a felony. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  6. The Penix is back!!! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  7. That play only works there if you have Rondale Moore...horrible call. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  8. IU - 27 MSU - 24 Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  9. Ramsey has to connect with Hale there in stride...that was an easy TD and instead it’s underthrown and Hale limps off the field. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  10. Our pass was for lot 6 last week but we went in gate 8 with no issues at all so I’d say pretty lenient. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  11. I agree. I’m just baffled this line is 27.5...general public must not know Penix isn’t playing. No chance we cover. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  12. UConn +27.5 is just about easier money than OSU -14. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  13. IU - 35 UConn - 17 Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  14. Saw Sam Story posted that Penix’s injury was a muscle spasm/strain. Sounds like it may not be too serious and good chance he plays this weekend if needed. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  15. Jerome, TJD, and Damezi walked past our tailgate this past weekend...I’m no doctor but based on my analysis of Jerome walking, he seemed to be taking steps of somebody who has been cleared for full contact! I think we’re gonna be good here guys! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  16. Looks like Vinny will be announcing his retirement tomorrow. Amazing career and future hall of famer no doubt, just wish the retirement had come under different circumstances. Interested to see who the Colts bring in. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  17. Lol. Argument is moot and makes zero sense. Go Hoosiers, beat the Huskies! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  18. You completely get it...if I were you I’d put my hat in the ring for head coaching position...This staff has seen/coached Peyton for 4 years and have seen Penix in practices/camps/games and made the decision that Penix is clearly the better QB, hence why he was named starter. I’ll take their judgment on this matter over anybody on this board 100 times out of 100 all day. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  19. LeBron James coming out of high school was a complete unknown against NBA teams yet still was seen as the future of the NBA based on the games he played in high school. You don’t necessarily have to see these kids play against a perennial powers before you can assess their talents....Penix was B1G Freshman of the week his first career start and was in the same company as Randel El his first start...there’s a reason traditional power house schools like Tennessee and Florida State recruited him...because they realize his talents. Not that hard to understand really. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  20. A good QB can mask a lot of deficiencies for a team however. I think we can agree this program isn’t where we’d like it to be but Penix has the tools to take this program up a level over the next few years...I’m curious to why you don’t think Penix is a viable option for our program to get to the next level. With Ramsey at QB I think we struggle next week vs UConn, but if Penix plays I think we win by 21+...the difference Penix makes is quite a bit IMO. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  21. All I’m saying is Ramsey just isn’t it and you need to accept that and move on and accept this is Penix’s team and he is the future of this program. The “debate/argument” is preposterous. I apologize if he is your son/relative, no disrespect, but he is not moving the needle for this program...feel like we have our very own treed situation here on BTB. 22. So after today’s performance, if Penix and Ramsey are both healthy, you’re gonna tell me you’d rather have Ramsey out there??? Nobody is saying that Ramsey is the savior, but he gives us a much better chance to win and is WAY MORE DYNAMIC. He can throw with pro level velocity and a as a freshman is already better than the senior and it’d be silly to say there’s nothing special about him. 23. Hope all the Ramsey backers are happy and will finally realize that he is NOT THE ANSWER, like the rest of us already have....if you haven’t then I suggest scheduling an eye/psych exam ASAP. Would we have won with Penix, most likely not, but he certainly would’ve given us a better chance and would’ve kept the defense off the field more-so than Ramsey. This team has A LOT to work on before their next game and I pray for a speedy recovery for Penix. I think this team felt defeated out the gate and made for a long day. Being there in person, I got to witness the weak throws of Ramsey and every throw longer than 15 yards was under thrown and he missed several wide open receivers on multiple plays...just a poor effort all around today. Anyway, let’s put this in the rear view and get ready for UConn. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  24. How about Ramsey ladies and gentlemen???!!! Time to turn to Tuttle or Reese Taylor. There’s a reason our WR had to throw the only passing TD of the game so far. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  25. Great interview with Rabjohns on 1070 the fan with JMV right now talking about the velocity of Penix’s ball compared to Ramsey’s and the impact this will have going against elite defenders...basically summed it up with Ramsey doesn’t give receivers enough time to catch the ball clean and/or catch and plant and go like Penix does and Ramsey can’t fit the ball into tight windows and IU will be making A LOT of “safe” throws Saturday and it’s gonna be very difficult to win Saturday playing this way. Analytics to back up the Penix ball velocity...said chance to win goes down without Penix. Ends it with saying they watched all of fall and spring practices and Penix is clearly the best QB and “it’s not even close.” Take it FWIW. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
