Jeebus...I am the one that said So. Cupps > Fr. Fland. So clearly I'm a Cupps believer and will trumpet him anytime I can. That said, we have to be honest about our assessments of the guy. Gabe is going to give you everything he has at all times which is why I love him now and going forward. You can acknowledge that and his faults at the same time. Agree he did. I expect that from him each and every night. But to say he played "great" defensively tonight would be suggesting we watched different games. I love Cupps now and especially for the future but his defense tonight wasn't good. Maybe Dug didn't shoot well but I think that was more on McDaniel than it was an influence of Cupps.
