  1. Yeah, I'm not sure why you don't trade down at that point. Just seemed to be a bad pick for them at #8.
  2. If I'm being optimistic I think one major upgrade for next year is bench scoring. For several years now we have wondered where the scoring would come from off the bench. Next year we should be able to rely on 2-3 guys to provide scoring off the bench. Last year we had zero reliable bench scorers and quite honestly only had 3-4 reliable starter scorers on a given night.
  3. This is better than I could have anticipated for this roster spot. High level player in your 8-10 range
  4. Just need a big then tie a bow on this thing and let's see how things shake out. The staff has hammered just about every need we had so I'll certainly give them credit for that. No excuses next year. I think Nik (Monmouth guy that I'm not going to try to spell name correctly) may not wow anyone but he provides what we need at the backup 5. A mature body, good rebounder both offensive and defensive and also likely to accept a minimum role. I think he can effectively guard most 5's but absolutely no switching with him lol.
  5. Nice! Welcome Luke. Goode to have you on board
  6. You got my prayers man. Hate to hear this.
  7. The, that's good enough for starting 2 guard at IU, jokes in....1,2,3....
  8. If you have Bally sports as part of your provider's package then you could see it. I do not and was pretty angry.
  9. In the case of Ballo you can see how it would make sense. If nothing else Woodson has a rep now of developing/unlocking bigs' potential to get to the next level. I'd say that's the biggest motivator for most players, as it should be honestly.
  10. From that article it sounds like he'd probably be able raise a decent amount of $ to help his family. On top of his initial NIL amount at IU. Might be a perfect match tbh.
  11. According to Torvik if Goode were to commit we'd go from 20th to 14th
  12. I think there's a difference between what should be expected and what is expected. The talent on this roster certainly merits high expectations on its own. However, there are other factors that can and do lower the expectations for some.
  13. If the Knicks weren't the Knicks this would be an easy group of guys to root for. I'm definitely rooting for them in this series at least.
  14. He actually fits what we're looking for at this point. A guy that is ok with 15 min a game that can shoot 3's effectively. Also a guy that WANTS to be a Hoosier (apparently).
  15. He was also going against the 2's so I'm not sure it's a fair comparison. I will say I was not overly impressed with Rourke but it's still way too early to be worried. I do like the idea of having a solid backup with some experience.
  16. What should be: competitive against best on schedule, top 3 B1G, 5 seed or better and 2nd weekend What I think it will be: blowout losses, 6-8 B1G, 10 seed and lose in 1st rd
  17. Yes I'm aware but your 5 getting put backs isn't what I'm referring to.
  18. Also hope to see them crash the offensive glass. However, I don't think I'll get my wish.
  19. I'd like #13 to go to Blazi personally. Need a better than 13th to be a backup 4/5.
  20. Nope it's not happening but I do think that would be the best scenario. I also think he, much like Gallo, could affect the game just as much coming off the bench if not more.
  21. When has Wisconsin ever been a superior option to the PORTAL?!
  22. I mean Mbagko and Reneau vs Walker and Leal? Yeah of course. That's not really an apples to apples when discussing Galloway vs an incoming Fr or So
  23. Not sure why so many think this is true. 5th year senior and most trusted player of the HC is most likely starting imo. I could be wrong, for sure, but I don't see a scenario where Galloway is coming off the bench with the current roster projection.
  24. Could be but I'd wager it's easier to get a talent to stay at a school rather than trying to get one to leave their current school. They way I worded that was stupid. Retention is easier than recruiting. That's the point I was trying to get at lol
  25. I like Howland but given what the staff wants from the backs I didn't see him sticking around. Pass pro and receiving out of the backfield aren't his strong suits. He likely could've had a role in short yardage situations but he can get a much larger role in a power running scheme.
