Yeah this is silly. Big time programs, big time coaches and big time history in that conference. Imagine Creighton, Marquette, Uconn, Georgetown, Villanova etc being considered "mid major" or "small". Absurd honestly.
I'll say this about this thread.... we certainly turn every stone and get the takiest of takes. The national media might have been right all along about us being lunatics.
Certainly feasible, if not likely, that he has a deal in principle with someone. I just don't think any of us will have a good idea of who it is until Scott lets Osterman, Bozich, Goodman type announce it. We have 2 big stage coach searches that he's done now and absolutely no info was leaked during either one. Don't expect that to change.
That's what I thought. So we don't actually know that to be a fact.
P.s. trying to respond without sounding like a jerk but no matter how I word it, it comes out that way. Not my intent
I suggest listening to Podcast on the Brink with @Mike Wiemuth (iuinphilly). Mike gave a very interesting detail on what NC coaches have in common. Look for a coach who has set an all-time wins record at a school. I don't remember how far back his research went but it was eye opening to say the least. Only one did not and that was Coach K because he couldn’t top Knight at Army. Mike also (my inference only) seemed to allude to Drew as being the best candidate we could hope to get and I agree.
