  1. So now professors have a say on the HC hire for basketball? We're truly f'd.
  2. There's a word for that....stalking. For the record Beard is not the guy I think IU will hire and probably shouldn't but if someone actually did what you are saying here they may have as big of issues as Beard and his drinking.
  3. Only one coach will MOSTLY unite the base. We've seen that to be evident here lol. Winning is what unites a fan base.
  4. That's the point. Not saying he'll be hired but for 3 weeks we've been hearing he has "no chance". Oh and the meeting speculation would be more than an agent pushing.
  5. Interesting. So at a bare minimum the 1,000+ posts here saying that Beard has no chance were in fact wrong. Weird.
  6. Pretty sure that individual just reads this board and others and then posts like he has info. Everytime something has come up here shortly after he posts pretty much what's been suggested here. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't think they have any inside info.
  7. And for the record I'm not taking this dude's word as the gospel truth. As far as I'm concerned everyone is an option unless they sign another deal or say no like May and Stevens.
  8. Yes he did. I find that hard to believe just because there is a lack of precedent. It always starts with the 1st one though.
  9. I get folks wanting the big time name hire but there are more examples of the lesser name becoming the big time name because they got their opportunity. I also understand, very much so, the trepidation we the fan base have with going with said lesser name. Thanks a lot Archie. I just honestly think the lesser name then becoming big time is the more typical approach in CBB. Just have to identify the right traits in a coach. Therefore, either you trust Dolson or you don't and I am not 100% sure either way.
  10. Yes I believe he'd let Woody go to bring someone in who has a ceiling higher than my basement and is young enough to be here 20+ years. Honestly I'd be fine with all three getting a shot but in order it'd be: Schertz, McCollum and then Huss. Not the sexy hire but could end up being the best hire. Plenty of examples where this would be the case.
  11. If Norm is right it would lead me to believe it's a Huss, Schertz or McCollum. Those all are or have the potential to be available when we inevitably lose in conference tournament. I still don't see Dolson announcing anyone until the season is done, done though.
  12. You could be BS'ing all of us and if so shame on me but you've been the most reasonable and (seemingly) brutally honest person with sources on this. Only question I have is what constitutes a "big name" from your perspective because that's incredibly subjective? Is McDermott a big name? Schertz? You get my point.
  13. Idk man, dude has been pretty straight forward and honest. Also has some connections via the IUFB team so he may be telling us exactly what he knows. I appreciated him giving honest and forthright info a few hundred pages back.
  14. There was a photo of Trey at a casino. Nevermind that the guy was in his 30's, had zero muscle mass and was about 6" too short to be Galloway
  15. That there's more to come in the coming days and that the 15th person posted the undertaker gif in the last 15 days....it's riveting I know. Just try to stay calm
  16. And they ironically want to call out others for acting self-important. You'd think it would be exhausting to be that way.
  17. I'd also be happy with those 5. I'd also be happy with McDermott
  18. Thanks Chris. Now this place is going to be crawling with pubic lice.
  19. Almost like there's more to a human being than their lowest of low moments.
  20. Well.....except Turgeon apparently
  21. Not trying to start an argument but we don't know that they even got to the vetting process last hire. It could've been that Beard had a pretty strong inclination that UT was opening up and he told the search committee (I guess Dolson since no committee was hired) that he wasn't interested. Could also be that Dolson didn't even inquire about Beard. All of those could be true and not many of us will ever know the truth.
  22. The La Lumiere and Culver connections are intriguing. He could be great and is only 46. He could be worse than Archie. It just seems like a crap shoot on nearly all coaches outside of a very select few.
  23. No. Win Sat and 1 more win in BTT and they are likely in. Also depends on other bubble teams and bid stealers.
