People criticizing posters for believing Stevens isn't a realistic candidate and saying it over and over. Same people keep saying they believe he's coming over and over. One has a big piece of evidence to suggest he's not and the other has hope. Believe what you want to believe. I think many that are adamant that he's not a candidate feel that way because a) he said so and b) because they don't want to exhaust themselves with hope only to be let down. So it's a lot easier on the ol' brain and heart to just contemplate candidates that haven't said that they aren't candidates.

Kent is about as reliable as Dakich and Coyle. If you think those 3 have the goods then ok.

Seriously folks there's good coaches still available. Dusty was attainable so it sucks for some but Stevens was never happening. So if there were only 2 coaches that would have made you happy then you were destined to be unhappy with this hire.

Trust me friend, I'm nowhere near being in an optimist club. Many here can tell you that. But when I see coaches like Drew, McCassland, Pearl etc still out in the ether I maintain hope.

Sucks that there's an excellent coach ready and willing to come but IU can't touch him. Really, really sucks. On the bright side there are still high quality candidates out there.
