  1. I think we've seen the staff offer other targets to persuade specific recruits to commit sooner. I believe it happened with Damezi/Hunter, to some extent Franklin, and also Phinisee. Possibly this is the case w/ Aminu, although he has no incentive to commit early
  2. I mean, Louisville pushed really hard for both Romeo and Lander. I don't see a reason to be pessimistic yet
  3. Osu fans don’t seem too happy about it Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  4. The GCl, his high school conference, is also notorious for playing really slow-paced basketball because of the pack-line defense. Could contribute to his point production.
  5. I think the kid is 16 right now. For all we know he could grow to 7 ft.
  6. It’s been a slow rebuild, but I really think we’re headed in the right direction. There’s many big “ifs”, but mainly (imo) if TJD stays, 2021 might be IU’s return to national prominence (not necessarily a national championship, but final four/elite 8 run), and I think we’d be set up well for sustained success Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  7. I think his dad is Larry Scott, the pac 12 commissioner Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  8. Yeah but he’s also very connected. Really odd timing for the tweet Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  9. Also, kind of an interesting note. I think the walk on named Michael Shipp joined the team last year and played with Duncomb in high school. No clue if it helped with the recruitment but if so, good job by the coaching staff. Makes me wonder if the new walk on (whose dad is allegedly the PAC-12 commissioner?) could help improve our west coast ties? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  10. I’ve watched him play several times. I can guarantee you he’ll be super fundamental coming from Moeller, the best basketball program in Ohio. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  11. I'll play (some of it, lol)! Favorite NBA team: Cleveland Cavaliers Favorite NBA team by year: 2016 Cleveland Cavaliers Favorite current NBA player: LeBron James Favorite NBA player all-time: LeBron James Favorite college team: Indiana Hoosiers (duh!) Favorite college team by year: 2012/2013 Hooeys Favorite current college player: TJD/Obi Toppin Favorite college player all-time: Derrick Rose Favorite player all-time, any level(HS, college, NBA): LBJ Favorite current coach(NCAA or NBA): I've always like under-the-radar, high-energy guys like Bruce Pearl, Shaka, Buzz Williams, but no clear favorite. Lowkey Leonard Hamilton as well. Favorite coach all-time: IDK, I guess Bobby Knight Favorite place to watch a game(home, bar, arena etc): A bar, unless it's IU, then at home Least favorite NBA team: Golden State Warriors Least favorite current NBA player: Love Kyrie's handles but his personality annoys the crap out of me Least favorite NBA player all-time: IDK Least favorite College team: Purdue/UNC Least favorite current college player: Matt Haarms Least favorite college player all-time: Mario Chalmers Least favorite coach, any level: Kerr/Poppovich/Calipari Preferred basketball shoe brand: Nike Favorite NBA moment all-time: Cavs coming back from 3-1 against Warriors Favorite college moment all-time: Butler/Dayton's runs or the Wat Shot A game you could watch of your favorite NBA team over and over: Game 7 Cavs vs Warriors A game you could watch of your favorite college team over and over: Hooeys beating Duke in '02 Tourney
  12. Almost guarantee that's Anthony Grant at Dayton. It makes no sense for over 90% of teams to schedule Dayton because it's a very hard place to play and Dayton would probably be considered a "bad loss" most years.
  13. Is it possible DA stopped playing when he did to get a redshirt? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  14. Duke fans believe it’s because someone unexpected (Stanley?) is coming back Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  15. Really hoping Kofi as well...but probably just wishful thinking
  16. From NH. I'm hoping Bruiser can use his East Coast ties to bring in one of these guys eventually. It also appears we're in the market for a wing player
  17. Nah. Coaching, player development, and overall success were better. We improved
  18. Although it feels weird to type this (social media is so peculiar), I was bored and scrolling through Instagram when I came across Khristian’s account. On it he referenced his new Tik Tok account. In the preview of it he wrote “next chapter coming too soon” with pictures of him Leal and Galloway in candy stripe pants. In a state of no news, I guess this is some news. Either way, in my opinion, he’s probably 90% gonna be playing for IU in 2020. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  19. Let's say the NCAA suspends March Madness as opposed to cancelling it. Is there any precedence or does anyone have any suggestions on how that would work out? There's a lot of conflicting information on the internet, but my personal and uneducated opinion is that the virus will reach its height in two or three weeks and everything will slowly go back to normal.
  20. I try to be generally positive, but that matchup might just create the worst offensive game ever
  21. I’ve been watching these games thinking the same thing as you. Crazy endings / blown leads! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  22. Also, this year, we haven't had a "bad" loss yet.
  23. Anyone else think we now shift recruiting towards a Center to prepare for when TJD leaves? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  24. I just want to get into the tournament. Still nervous! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  25. Yep. This makes total sense
