  1. I realize he's not a running back, but he needs to learn how to carry the ball -- was holding it like a loaf of bread. What a waste of an INT.
  2. Our running game is so damn predictable. Snap. Handoff. Run up the middle. That's all we ever do. I don't understand why we don't mix it up a bit.
  3. Really disappointing opening drive. ... Granted there's a ton of football to be played, but we look as if we're sleepwalking so far.
  4. With the exception of a couple incomplete passes, they're getting big chunks of yardage every play. Lock down, D!
  5. I find it so interesting that three of the nation's blue-blood programs (or maybe former blue-blood program in Nebraska's case) have coaches pretty much their entire fan base clamored for. They just HAD to have these guys ... Michigan -- Jim Harbaugh Nebraska -- Scott Frost Texas ---Tom Herman These guys were gonna come in, unite the fan base and compete for conference and even national titles. How's that working out? Harbaugh and Herman are on the proverbial hot seat and while Frost probably hasn't been back in Huskerville long enough to be on the hot seat, he doesn't appear to be making many friends. Meanwhile, we chug along with little ol' Tom Allen at the helm. Kinda fun, isn't it?
  6. This shouldn't even be up for debate. Look at the way Big Prill bodies up against the hated Illini! In all seriousness: Vic or Cody -- because they're Vic and Cody. Cody would give us the skilled big man we need (Brunk's OK -- but I'm still not sure he's B1G caliber. Probably would be best served coming off the bench). Vic would give us that experienced crazy athletic guard who can shoot (as he could in his final year at IU) and get to the bucket.
  7. I realize everybody's concerned about safety -- as they should be -- but it seems odd to me that after 40 minutes of sweating all over each other and all kinds of contact, the coaches and players can't shake hands after the game? I'm presuming everyone has been tested.
  8. Gonna be a long season, too, if we can't hit from 15 feet with nobody guarding us!
  9. I would guess he wouldn't be if Brunk were healthy.
  10. Try 'em underhanded, boys ... Can't do any worse than you are now!
  11. The announcer laments that TTU can't hit anything. Probably the fact that they're taking terrible shots has something to do with it. They're regularly launching 25- and 30-footers. Unless my contact lenses have gone bad, I don't see a Steph Curry on that team.
  12. I hope guys like Al and Franklin and even Rob look at what those freshmen did that first half and think, "Wow, I'd better get my a$$ in gear or it's gonna be on the bench a good bit this season."
  13. For a football school, our hoops team isn't looking too bad so far.
  14. Galloway is 4-4 from the floor and 1-1 from the line. He may not miss all season! On the downside, the team is 3-9 from both the 3-point line and the FT line. That ain't too good.
  15. Was that Trey Galloway -- or Michael Jordan!
  16. After that nice break the freshmen ran, I was disappointed there wasn't more crowd reaction. ... Hell, we're 9 months into this damn thing and I still can't get used to these games with empty seats.
  17. That was dumb, Race -- pull up and knock down that 15-footer.
  18. I'm kinda surprised that of the four freshmen, the last to see PT will be Leal.
  19. I thought not having Brunk out there might create more space for TJD -- but he looks uncomfortable so far.
  20. I'm 52, and am probably carrying 52 pounds too many -- and I can still make 80 percent!
  21. That's a shot Al HAS to make. Can't miss wide open 3s like that.
