  1. Aside from May/Stevens I concur and also Kevin Young
  2. Just tell us if this is just bs, or is it BS?
  3. I don’t have anything against old fogies, but come on man, let’s infuse some Youngblood into the system.
  4. He was great for Baylor, (might be waning a bit) it’s where he should stay…just like BK, should’ve retired at IU.
  5. Yes and has been in the NBA
  6. It’s May or Stevens for me or bust, then you might as well take a chance on McCollum or someone like Kevin Young and let them try to create their own history here with all the resources at their disposal. I’m frankly pretty impressed with Kevin Young, but I’d rather stay away from someone that’s had a long tenure at some other college and growing long in the tooth.
  7. My sentiments exactly..
  8. I don’t really know that much about him. I was just wondering if there are any pics that ever surfaced. some of the media guys seem to poo poo it to some degree, but if he actually did choke and bite her, I would not before the hire.
  9. Was there actually any pics of the incident, I’ve looked and nada on the web?
  10. I get what you’re saying, but like you said all things being equal I think we need to get somebody in here that has plenty of energy and excitement to build a program in the right way and not just rely on NIL. I just think for the long haul and to get somebody that’s gonna be here for a considerable amount of time there are options of younger coaches out there that I think would fit the bill and be better than getting a coach for 5 to 7 years and then have to re-hire again.
  11. instead of viewing this as a do or die hire, you might have to go out on a little bit of a limb and, what do we really have to to lose at this point in trying out somebody like Kevin Young at BYU or the other obvious ones like McCollum, etc.?
  12. 1. Steven’s/May 2. A young up and coming coach. No thanks on the Older established coaches this cycle. We need high energy and excitement/ longevity infused into this dying, (formerly) mismanaged program IMO
  13. Yeah, it is an odd situation, but it seems like if you were going to hire somebody like BS who wasn’t coaching, the announcement should be sooner the better IMO. That’s why I don’t buy all the stuff about smoke screens because why would that be a slight to Woodson when he already announced his retirement?, and if he cares about Indiana like he says he does, he would want Indiana to get the best coach possible as soon as possible.
  14. What I don’t get is, what’s the big deal about a new coach being announced before the end of the season? I mean, Woody already said he was leaving so that shouldn’t matter at all. Sounds like a big deal about nothing.
  15. Thought that’s why they hired a search firm?
  16. Which, quite frankly seems very strange to me because it seems like BS would do something more classy like address HSN specifically and say something like “I’m very honored that the Indiana fans want me to be their next coach but I am happy in Boston, etc. etc.”, Instead of some Flippin comment texted to some random sports dude.
  17. Dusty, Golden,Oats
  18. I would personally like to see us get a younger coach who could make this place his own and develop some history instead of going for the instant win category.
  19. Could be and if so, shows you where his interest lie and is certainly not on the front line…so if that’s the case, I’m glad he’s not coming.
  20. Maybe BS got cold feet and scared of the challenge or maybe he is comfortable being a behind the scenes office boy in Boston. anyways, I just hope we hire somebody that is fairly youthful and has a lot of passion and BB IQ!!
  21. lol…what a waste of a covid year
