  1. Next year has a chance to be worse than this year depending on what she can pull out of the portal. Losing Sydney and Chloe and Striplin is going to hit hard and I’m not sure why we ever thought Lily was going to turn into a great post player because she just doesn’t have the size when you come up against these bigger teams nor the skill set. She can do pretty good against the lesser teams, but Terry is going to have to figure this out if she’s gonna want to make deep runs in the tournament on a consistent basis. She typically never plays freshman and there are a lot of teams that recruit freshman that are ready to play decent minutes so I think that she is a great coach, but her Achilles heel is recruiting and I hope she or she can find somebody to come in and help figure that out.
  2. Teams like UConn build their winning culture and then keep adding to it every year to become a national powerhouse, but we can’t ever seem to do that for one year. We’re always good to really good but never great..

  4. OK, well my question would be why is it taking her so long to get all those pieces together?
  5. I don’t understand why we have trouble landing those type of players with all the success Terry has had and her great reputation…baffling.
  6. Laméndola certainly hasn’t progressed much
  7. Hopefully at some point Terry can get over the recruiting hump, she deserves it.
  8. Terry is really gonna have to knock it out of the park in the portal this year. They need to start funneling some of that donor money to the women’s side.
  9. Terry is a great coach, but dang she needs a few of those blue chippers.
  10. I don’t know how many coaches if any have ever done that.. probably none.
  11. Brad to IU makes perfect sense. He never won a national championship at the college level but he’s accomplished that in the NBA. Coming back to the college game to coach Indiana and resurrect us from the bowels of hell and finally win a national championship is the stuff legends are made of, and the challenge he has probably been longing for.
  12. If it’s Luke, at least we’d get to see Bill at our home games..lol
  13. Supposedly Kentucky was the one school that he thought he would uproot and go to if they ever came calling and they didn’t even go for that. He built a Mecca there and why on earth would he want to come here and start all over, that just sounds crazy..
  14. My biggest fear with Drew is that he’s on the downward side of the mountain. Aside from that, everything I’ve read is that they really love their new state of the art home and their new basketball facility and they are really proud of their accomplishments there, so I don’t foresee him up and moving at this stage of the game I can see retirement in the not to distant future.
  15. I don’t think coaches have that hectic of a schedule from the time the season ends until the end of summer when they can practice with the team again, especially now in the NIL era.
  16. That is true and that is why I hope we go with a younger coach (if not Brad) that has a lot of energy and passion for the game and actually enjoys the day to day recruiting, “grind”.
  17. I hope not, I don’t have a good feeling about Drew at this stage of the game.
  18. True but they have a huge support staff and Woody never hardly even graced the recruiting trail.
  19. Yeah but…I would enjoy most of it :)
  20. When I see people use the word “grind”referring to the men’s basketball head coaching position I laugh to myself because I’ve worked many jobs that I would consider a real grind day in and day out, but I don’t think I would consider that job on its hardest day to be a “grind” even at the highest level, what are they out there digging every day for bandwidth? They are also instant millionaires and live in the lap of luxury. Lol
  21. I agree with this and I hope it’s not true. Like I said, I hope it is Brad Stevens because that’s the only thing that makes sense because Dusty May was the perfect hire for IU last year.
  22. I meant when he was leaving FAU
  23. The only reason that makes any sense to me why Dolson didn’t scoop up May would be because he must’ve had BS in the pipe line…anything else seems like an epic failure.
  24. I understand that and I also understand the frustration of this fan base, but I just don’t think that they’re that many coaches out there that are a guarantee. And also, I’d rather not hire a really old coach so that we have to think about the hiring process again soon.
