  1. I think it may be in reference to a rumor that DD left the West Virginia team without saying anything … which I find hard to believe.
  2. Well, of course that needs to happen at some point in the near future butt……he just got here. Most likely trying to filter thru a ton of years of baggage this program has assembled and honing in on a structure that will work and be sustainable year in and year out. Can’t just wave a magic wand.
  3. Big deal, it’s his first year. Going to take some time.
  4. Huge get IMO!! Someone must of ponied up done dough!!
  5. I always wondered why she never got even a little bit of playing time here? I guess I thought she was always injured.
  6. Yeah, thanks again for the rundown and I do get it. It’s really a shame that this is happening to the girls program right now because in the past several years, they have turned into a real bright spot in IU athletics, especially with how bad the football team had been and how down the basketball team has been. They have been a ray of hope surging to the top and then once the arena starting getting packed, which I don’t think had ever happened before, and riding that wave/ building on all that momentum sure would’ve been nice.
  7. Thanks for the detailed explanation. The big question that I just can’t get out of my head is that, why would TM ever be stubborn for money that would be infused into the women’s program for upgrades? That is so strange. It is just mind-boggling that someone at her position wouldn’t know what the wave of the future was going to be and that you always have to be ahead of the curve. I mean, that’s basically what she gets paid large sums of money to think about day in and day out. If a few of the best players are getting paid big money, then all the rest of them are gonna want to get paid, so that’s just like adding 2+2. So she actually thought that she could get a crop of kids year in and year out that would forgo the money and just want to play for her because of her system and culture? That’s twilight zone material. I know you say that she gets it now and is willing to accept NIL donations, but there just seems like there had to be something else that was going on or is going on.
  8. In this new era of free agency I’m not sure what purpose the dead period serves…seems like a bunch of baloney.
  9. Pretty sure she’s still on the team.
  10. Is this guy a great recruiter? I don’t know much about him. I know Drew is supposed to be a pretty good recruiter, especially in the Midwest, but are we looking for more player development or recruiting or both?
  11. So if we miss out on Murphy, does anyone know who our most realistic options to fill out our assistant coaching positions would be?
  12. Would’ve been nice to get her..oh well :(
  13. That’s really unfortunate because now we’re behind the eight ball instead of riding the wave of the past couple seasons when fans were packing the stadium. Now we’ve taken several steps backwards. Hopefully a donor can throw some money into the women’s program and at least snag a couple quality Bigs.. Hopefully Terry can work some magic this off-season…. She’s going to need it.
  14. So, no one in charge could foresee that the women were going to need NIL in this era? Top-tier recruits were going to flock to IU like they’ve never done before because of culture? If true, that seems incredibly out of touch.
  15. Where’s the darn link..lol
  16. Oh, ok I get it…looks good now!
  17. Hopefully, we have a team by tomorrow
  18. I don’t know if I would consider us a title contending team for 5 years? Maybe if you reach the sweet 16 several times. Terry is a great coach, but she might not be good at team management, and if she’s not she needs to bring somebody in who is. She seems to be recruiting the same type of players that have not been getting us anywhere elite. it doesn’t really matter if teams like Notre Dame lose their top couple players because they will replace them and be back in the hunt, we haven’t been able to come close.
  19. It is sad at this stage of Terry’s career at Indiana that Yarden doesn’t consider this a title contending team at this juncture. Something’s Gotta give.
