She could be a really nice player here, and now a couple top flight guards that can light it up would be nice.

I would want to pair Sherrell with Yig or Chol for sure.

I like the big time potential here!

Nice..welcome aboard...I think he's going to have a big year coming up!

If IU is lower bid than MSU for a must have big, we are cooked in more ways than one.

Me too…c’mon, what’s the hang up? Great town, best fans, a few million quid, great practice facilities, nice coaches..

Did we ever pursue?

Wish these guys would hurry the heck up

I can’t imaging anyone would give him a huge pay raise based on last season that Iowa can’t get close to but who knows.. he does play with a chip on his shoulder though…maybe we take a look.

Wonder why Folgueiras is portaling, thought he played well for McGollum?

lol..with our luck he will probably be all conference.

Nobody here wanted a one dimensional player like him anyways, much less for 1.5 mil.

Heck no, we deserve it ;)

I would take that but raise you 2 studs.

I can't imagine we have money shortages after hiring both Carrs for i'm sure big money and then keeping all the rest of our assistants. I don't think you spend like that if you have a tight budget for the portal.

I'd like to see us land Thiam & Yigatoglu at center or someone like Yig.

We need a coach that will “do something about it”. Cig, “did something about it”. Thats what paying people millions of dollars do..Hope this cycle works and he figures it out.

Those tables were turned rather quickly. DDV could do the same with some unexpected success and high quality evaluations. Maybe it will happen.

No revelation, but isn’t that why our athletic director finally got to have his choice and pay a coach millions of dollars to navigate through that? We have a major brand after all.

Since when has Iowa, Illinois, St.John, Iowa St., Arkansas, Alabama etc.. been a thing until they got a good coach and some financial backing?

Good points, I think swag can be achieved in other ways, but first you have to be a good identifier of exactly the right talent that you want in your program and then identify the top two targets and pay whatever it takes to get those two players and then let the rest of the chips fall. I have a hard time believing that we are that far below Michigan moneywise. I really don’t think there’s any other way for DDV to do that and time as of the essence.

Maybe our deal makers suck and or we are on a tight budget. No reason we can’t get some early momentum with 14 mil at our disposal if that number is even close. Can’t afford to let everyone else have their pick when we are Indiana..need to nail down a big one fast..show some Cig swagger. Indiana has history and name value even if we haven’t been that good for several thousand years.

Ok, we get leftovers..

Looks like we’re gonna have to settle for table scraps again

Hopefully we have him locked up on a retainer ;)
