I would argue TC/LM and Bailey (for a big man) are pretty athletic…then there’s a size able drop off. Not trying to pile on here but one thing I have not understood is why we went 3/4 of the way around the world to bring in a Serbian big who will not even be close to seeing the floor this year. There were several guys around his size that we played on teams like Lindenwood {would have to go back and look at those rosters again ) that would’ve been a far better option.imo. If anything I’ve learned from Cignetti is that a really good coach these days especially with NIL knows and zeros in on exactly the right type of player they are looking for to fit their program . (AKA Dusty May). Hoping Devries can get it figured out because he does actually have a good track record.

Not a consolation but Pope is doing worse with more.

Teams have found that all they have to do is guard the 3 pt line. Not good.

Unfortunately maybe all he could get.

He wasn’t the long term answer and Devries has had a good track record but the leash should be short and next offseason moves should have major implications imo At this point he is not utilizing this team (although limited) to its full potential. Hope for adjustments now that teams know to guard out high cause we don’t have much post presence.

Seems like we “should be able” to utilize Noyan, Ondineme and Makalusky. I’d like to see a break out game from one of these gals.

Without Z I doubt we win many games in the Big. For a program that was picking up steam and fan support there has been an unusual amount of mismanagement is my point. I sure hope Z comes back healthy soon because we are a completely different team without her.

NIL or not, the program she was building should not at this juncture be one player injury away from being a bottom feeder in the Big. She has 3 back ups that are not close to ready to give meaningful minutes. I understand all that about how she didn't use NIL to her advantage etc...etc..., but that is all part of the job. Help is on the way for now, but if we have a major bad losing season, those winds might blow elsewhere. I hope not and sure wish we had CIEZKI for a few more years.

There seems to be a sever lack of judgment in recruiting the right players IMO. Terri had the world by the tail on a downhill pull and then completely lost it it seems. Good thing she at least got Chesky.

For whatever reason, TM has not been able to add all the pieces to the puzzle. Fingers crossed as usual though.

To late in the the game to be feeling like we are just now in 2026 starting to build a deep tournament roster.

Seems very late in the game to just be "getting a great start". Unfortunately we still have a team that if one starter goes down we fall off big time.
