    If that’s true, it doesn’t really seem fair for the kid who only gets to experience the big surprise once in his lifetime. Seems to really defeat the purpose of keeping things close to the vest unless they actually don’t even care. But then why hold a press conference, and not just release it to social media. Seems kind of strange.

    Makes me wonder how the process works. Does the Kentucky staff get a phone call and then starts jumping up and down fist pumping and then a member of the staff picks up the phone and calls Trilly and says hey, we got him.. go ahead and broadcast it.

    What I don’t get is that is something definitely was leaked, why would these people want to steal boogies thunder by advertising it before he announces it? What’s the point of a specific announcement at a specific time and keeping things close to the vest if this is what happens.

    It’s hard to say how kids will fare in the big league I guess, just thought it’s interesting we didn’t recruit an in-state kid like him at all.

    I sure hope so….6’5 4* Indiana kid who is a coaches son and can shoot lights out seems a no brainer.

    If we want shooters then why don’t we offer Indiana kids like Fletcher Loyer? I must be missing something? Purdue sure seems to find them. Strange..

    I’ve watched video interviews of Mike Lewis and I would not want him as a head coach. He seems to have a similar personality as CAM. He might be OK for a small school somewhere but not here IMO.

    Tks, Looks to me like there sure targeted a great coach for their first up and comer! Would love for us to somehow get him.

    I can’t help but wonder why Alabama hasn’t spent this kind of money on their basketball program before? Does their basketball arena have sell out crowds etc...I literally know nothing about Alabama basketball.

    Thats what i said i see in Oats if we’re willing to spend that kind of money.

    We just need somebody with that certain type of “je ne sais quoi” and the only one I see in this is Oats. I’m not a win at all cost guy, so i could see going the cheaper route with an up and commer like Dane Fife etc.... The hardest part IMO for SD is detecting that certain something that eventual great coaches have.

    Nate Oats is my top choice.....hope he want’s to come back to the Midwest!
