I'll always predict it happened in year two. I think he kissed Romeo's a$$ and that didn't sit well with the team.

I think most of these guys are going to wait it out-as they should. That doesn't surprise me. If it's a legit proven winner (Brad, Beilein, Drew, Beard) I think the majority will stay. I think Trayce should consider coming back if it's the right coach. I think Ayo was in a similar situation last year. Late 2nd rounder. Look at the season he had. I know they play different positions but still. Trayce could really improve and play himself into a better draft slot.

Yeah I just felt there was more Oats love than Beard. Although Oats isn't happening. Not that Vegas Odds are everything but it seems like Beilein, Drew, and Beard are legit. Odds from +300 to +500. I'll be paying attention to the odds for sure. That can be telling. I noticed the day the Colts got Wentz they became the favorite that morning. -

Looking at this thread I see 7 games repeatedly. If I had to guess at popularity it's 1) Brad Stevens-not even close he's the number one choice. Media doesn't think he would leave Boston but nothing from him yet. Nothing with sources that says he's staying in Boston. Longshot? Yes. But not dead yet. 2) Nate Oats-Goodman says he's not leaving Alabama. Would probably cross him off. (Not a Goodman fan but he's connected.) 3) Chris Beard- Will he leave the state of Texas? He's been there his whole life. 4) Eric Musselman T-5) John Beilein and Scott Drew 7) Thad Matta -
Been at work today so I wanted to give my thoughts on Archie: 1) I really thought he would win at IU. I thought year one was a wash and years 2 and 3 would be eh but I thought by year four this program would be a contender. 2) He took over a mess on and off the court. He did not inherit a Big Ten roster. It's been said the APR issues hurt him. That is why really in year one I didn't hold that season against him. 3) He lost the fan base in year two by losing 12/13. Romeo was overhyped but still was a good college player that was poorly used. I feel Archie was afraid of coaching him and that pissed the team off. He and Juwan were the best 1-2 punch since Vic-Cody. That team should've been a 6/7 seed and they blew it. 4) Year three was probably the best team he's had and that's not saying much. Would've been a 10 seed but they still had a bad four game losing streak that hurt them and cost them a seed line. 5) He 100% absolutely had to make the tournament this year. Three/four weeks ago they were in. That six game losing streak was the final nail in the coffin as Chris called. Overall, I don't think the players really liked playing for Archie. He's had enough talent to make the tournament. Also, you can't go 0-7 against Purdue. Just can't happen. He lost all momentum in this program. He pretty much whiffed on the 2018 recruiting class outside of Romeo. He had to hit on that one. Props to Scott Dolson for doing the right thing. I really think Fred Glass keeps him for another year. I do think Indiana has a short list of proven guys. We will see. All I'm saying is let's give whoever it is a chance. As long as it's a proven winner and NOT a gamble I'm happy. I just want Indiana to make deep runs in the tournament and eventually hopeful that they will come out on top once. I've been a fan since the late 90's. Really only the 2002, 2012, 2013, and 2016 teams are considered "great" IU teams.

Hasn't said anything yet but between him and Chris they are gold.

I'll take him over the clowns Brian Snow and Rabby. I can't believe I wasted money on that site for a year. -

That's my number one issue. He's 68. But hell Saban is 69 so who knows. -

No but I think he could win right away and have a team that could compete for a National Title sooner rather than later. It would be a solid 4-6 year run. The hope is he would leave Indiana in better shape than he found it. Look at West Virginia and Michigan..West Virginia went to a final four 3 years after he left. Michigan is a one seed 2 years later. While Beilein was at both those schools West Virginia had the best seasons they've had since the 60's and Michigan the best since the Fab Five. -

I'm with you. I said Musselman earlier. I think it's Beilein now that I've read a few things on here and other places. I don't think it's a done deal though. I think there are probably 3-4 guys they are looking at. -

Oh I know. I just saw some on here and another message board wondering if it was a new coach. It's funny...the local media got it wrong. -

I don't think it will be to announce a new coach. Huge s/o to @Chris007. This is a free message board and he was better than any of these "insiders" people pay for. I think Dolson has a few guys lined up and is confident he can get one of them. -

My only issue is he's 68...Look at his tenure at West Virginia and Michigan. They had the best team in decades with him as their coach. -

Archie Miller is a class act. A great man. I wish him nothing but the best. When he came to talk in Evansville he stayed for over an hour to visit with fans. He was super nice to me and my step dad. I wish it would've worked out. I thought he was the guy. But this move had to be made. I would love to see him at a school like UE.

It's on their athletics page.

Eric Musselman. I think Stevens and Beard will need Coach K/Coach Cal like money to say yes. -
Wow..I expected this but still surprised. Dolson says in the press release that the money is there.
