McSwain and Newkirk = athletes but not basketball players Green = playground player Johnson = officially mailed it. he just doesn't seem to care plain and simple Davis = good if the court was about half the size. game is still way too fast for him and that's sad considering all we heard about in offseason was how well conditioned he was. Moore = is he a project? I am sorry but what do we have to lose by not playing him a little. McSwain sucks.

The sad thing is two of the three are really off the bench guys. We have one legit big ten starter and the rest are either role players or guys who could be starters but just don't care enough to be.

If that's the case then shame on her. Very selfish. Let your kid go where he wants. He earned it and be a proud parent that you helped get him there but don't get in the way of his decision.

We honestly have just been a couple pieces away from taking it to the next level. The last two years we took huge steps forward with our defense but were missing some key parts offensively. Before that, it was the opposite. We are closer than people think. I don't think we have consistently had the type of class that Allen just brought in. We have been a little inconsistent in that aspect. Continue to bring in these type of recruits and I am optimistic we are heading in the right direction. It also can't be stated enough how important it is to have a really good QB. We haven't had that since Sudfeld and i hope Pennix is the guy. It hasn't been mentioned but I think he is the type of QB that Debord will thrive with. He did great things with Dobbs at UT. I'm getting ahead of myself but I am excited at the prospects.

Best freshman in college basketball this year and that says something because it's a pretty good class. What he is doing is incredible!

I can also see around 7 wins. We have to sweep our non-con and then take care of business at home against Purdue, Maryland and ill say one of Iowa/Mich St. Then throw in a win at Rutgers. To me, that's very very doable. Our offense should take a nice step forward so as long as our defense doesn't revert back to the old days (i don't think it will with Allen) I see no reason we can't go 7-5. Of course it's IU football though so I wouldn't dare place a bet on this :)

Mack was only going to be competing for the 4th receiver spots anyways. Still in very good shape next year with Westbrook and Hale as the top two. Throw in Timien out of the slot and Philyor as the next guy up.

This is ridiculous. I get the fact that the kid is 18 yrs old and it's a big decision. But c'mon you've had months to think this out. Not a good look to literally switch 3 times in 24 hours.

I would still like to see this guy consistently getting double digit boards with three or four blocks a game. Forget the offense.

i hope he's a good recruiter too. you can't have enough of those on staff.

Anyone know what defensive unit he is coaching? I know the NCAA added another assistant position for football staff's so curiouus to understand what this guys role will be.

Where am I on record as saying the loss is unacceptable? By no means am I conveying this or making excuses. But I am also not saying we are doomed and we have zero chance at RL now that we have lost to ISU and IPFW. I am seeing a lot of that this morning and it is a very knee jerk reaction. This season is not going to go how everyone wants it to go. That's obvious but that doesn't mean the long term outlook still isn't positive.

Exactly, perfect example. It's very typical of our fan base to think the absolute worst after a game like this. We know now it's going to be a very up and down year. Archie is not TC though. He brought in assistants that can recruit. However this season plays out I still think he can sell his vision and the program to get a guy like RL.

I get that this loss looks bad and certainly can't help for a kid like Romeo to see. However, it's not like Vandy or KU are tearing it up. KU beat Nebraska by 1 point the other night and lost to Washington at home. Yes, I know there is no Fort Wayne or ISU spinkled in there. Vandy has 7 losses so far. I'm not aware of any other schools RL is seriously considering so let's pump the brakes on the fact that after last night we aren't getting 5 star kids.

I get your point but i dont think it matters what system these guys are in. The bottom line is they can't shoot or score and that's not changing no matter who is coaching them. Blackmon, OG, Bryant were huge, huge losses. If we just had one of those guys it's a totally different season. Not one guy on the current roster has really stepped up to fill those roles although Morgan has really come on the last few games.

Only guy I would honestly want to keep is Morgan and of courses the freshman. I still think Davis can be a respectable four year player too. The rest can kick rocks.

Hate to speculate but just looked like Alonzo Trier tore his ACL on Arizona. His knee buckled bad and he had to be helped off the court. Would be a huge loss if true.

The refs just can't not blow the whistle over any type of contact. Pathetic.

Would be a great pickup but you have to like what we currently have at RB with Ellison and the freshman. I feel best about that position and WR coming into next year.
