This Kansas is out thing sounds eerily similar to when everyone said they were done after his 'horrible' visit there in the fall. They are not out of it but I do think Romeo wants to go to a situation where he can be the guy from day 1. That is not KU. They are loaded at guard next year.

For those that haven't gotten the chance to watch Romeo, sounds like he will be on ESPNU today at 5:30pm ET. Taking on Darius Bazley (another 5 star).

I know you can say this about most announcers who coached but I find it hard to listen to him just on the basis that half the stuff he points out he didn't do well at IU. It's like a credibility hit. He's obviously very knowledgeable and better than some of the other yo yo's they have working there.

Yep I don't see Green here long-term. Wouldn't surprise me if he decides to head back east. We could really use a grad transfer or two if this team wants to be more competitive next season. Love what a guy like McRoberts gives us but he can't be playing 30 minutes a game if we expect to be successful.

Everything lined up perfectly for Alford last year and they could only go to the sweet 16. he's definnitely going to continue to struggle this year. glad we stayed away.

Chris Holtman and OSU up 36-22 at Iowa. Holtman looks like the real deal.

The one thing that interests me to where I don't think they would be the favorite is roster makeup. They have quite a few 2 guards on that roster or guys that are going to demand the basketball for next year. The Lawson brothers who are sitting out this year were big time ballhogs at Memphis. Both try to play like guards. Then at SG, you have Malik Newman, Marcus Garrett, Lagerald Vick, and then throw in 5 star freshman SG Quinton Grimes. It just seems like a lot and someone is likely to not be happy. Self also isn't afraid to sit a freshman. He sat Chiek Diallo almost his entire freshman year even though he was a 5 star.

I wouldn't mind bringing in another grad transfer or two if the opportunity is there. This is exactly what Purdue did this year with Brohm and it made a huge difference. He had two or three guys turned instant starters.If Linder is fully healthy he is your starting center the entire year. Be interesting to watch to see what else CTA does this offseason regarding grad transfers/transfers/remaining recruits out there.

I don't think that's entirely true. I am sure people were telling Trae Young that exact thing but he still signed with Oklahoma. They are now a top 10 team in the country and it's because of him. They didn't even make the tourney last year. KU will have a more talented roster but he can still win at IU and is guaranteed to get lots of PT with an equal amount of national exposure.

It looks like he was a Miami lean from the beginning so not much is out there. He was a 3 star from Fort Lauderdale and a legacy signing since his older brother Brandon Linder went to the U. Brandon is now the starting center for the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The U!!! This is a huge, huge pickup. It sounds like he left because there was some uncertainty with playing time next year. He's had a few shoulder surgeries and didn't get to play due to it this season. The fill in did well and he would have to compete with him for his final season.

KU is still losing given it is much better competition. Plus, they already have a top SG committed for next year. And with the Lawson twins/Newsome possibly back, KU will need a ton of basketballs. I am hardly convinced that KU is looked at as the front runner.

This would have been Crean's least talented team in a long time though. Last year, we had 3 NBA players on the roster and still lost to Fort Wayne and Nebraska at home. I think the 2013 team was kind of similar. Lots of athletes but not many basketball players. That team went 17-15 overall and had losses at home to Penn State, Nebraska and Northwestern. I have a really hard time believing Tom could do any better with what he left Archie.

Yes, because the other teams that are recruiting him are doing so well (eyeroll). KU just lost again at home last night. Vandy is a bottom 2-3 team in the SEC. What else do you got?

It disgusts me too to see Dakich go on the air yesterday and say Crean shouldn't have been fired. The guy was here 9 seasons not 3!!! Then Dakich says again the team should have hired Alford. It's so tiring listening to the guy. Agree Crean should have been gone 2 seasons ago and if it wasn't for Yogi putting the team on his back all year he would have.

This team really needed a stud grad transfer or freshman. None of the guys coming back were really starters outside of Rob. The only guy who has really taken a step forward is Morgan. Everyone else is either pretty similar to last year and some guys are getting exposed as players that shouldn't be getting as many minutes as they are. Problem is there are few alternatives. When McRoberts plays 28 minutes you know there is a lack of trust and confidence from coach to players.

If we can get a guy like RL we will be exponentially better next year with all the guys we have coming in. Archie really needs a program changer like the one OU has right now with Trae Young. They weren't even a tourney team last year and are in the top 10 in the country now. Not saying RL has to be that good. Otherwise, if things stay the way they are I think we are looking at CAM's year 3 as the one where we are back in the tourney and trending upwards.
