Most likely because the only people in the know are trustworthy and actually care about the wishes of the other person. If a friend, family member, etc. Asks for something to be kept quiet until they are ready to announce, then people should keep their mouths shut. With regard to agents, they was to continue to get paid, so they have a vested interest as welll to respect their clients wishes. I'm guessing, if the hiring process is complete with any coach, there is a very small number of people that know the actual details about what's going on.

I bet the teenage daughter unilaterally made that decision for the family, just like when she dictates whether or not Brad takes the job or not...

Any talk about it being hard to pull a coach from their current job if it is a good or decent situation is ridiculous. IU needs to go out and pay a great coach big money to come. A message needs to be sent around the sports world that IU isn't messing around anymore. Bottom line is that big money will get a great coach here, Stevens or not. IU can't cheap out on this hire...

RTZ is probably talking to someone connected to Stevens' new agent, Brad's teenage daughter. Apparently she is now the decision maker in the family and will be deciding if the family will make the move or not. The parents have lost all control....of she gets this done, she might be the new GM as well...

Regardless of who is asked to prove their information, reality will eventually rise to the top. If I want to believe information I like without proof, but ask for proof of something I don't like that is up to me as the person receiving the information. If you want to say that it's hypocritical, that's fine, but either way, I am responsible for my own interpretation of the information I receive, even if it's limited by my own doing. I guess I don't understand why people are so worried about the reactions of others?

Ugh....you're extremely exhausting. You can have your opinion without dictating other people's opinions. If I don't want to question what I wish to be true then so be it. What does it matter to you?

If he wants the job, this is a non-issue. If he wants to use something as an excuse to not take the job, this is one of many routes he could take with trying to justify a denial. Kids adapt..I've moved many times in my life as both a kid and a parent. Parent decisions don't need approval from the kids...
