    Of the IU players on the list of all-time top scorers, rebounders, shot blockers, and career double-doubles, only Steve Alford and Kent Benson played on a national championship team. Steve Downing played on a Final Four team.

    I didn't see any phantom fouls in the game against Maryland. Maryland guards were quicker than our guards causing fouls. Race is a step slower since his return causing him to foul. And Malik Reneau fouls a lot every game.

    No. Key's knee and shoulder and Okpara's foot are unavailable for the game. The rest of their bodies will be there.

    Malik Reneau is arguably playing the best of all three at that position at this time. IU is in a good place to be able to play whomever matches up the best.

    Galloway knew he had to fix his outside shot to get significant playing time and he did.

    Woodson should start Reneau in the second half. He matches up better than Geronimo and Race doesn't look quite ready.

    Gunn should not be shooting 3s. Coming into this game he is connecting on just 9.1% of his 3-point shots. Whatever is wrong with his shot isn't going to be fixed with him shooting from long range.

    I agree, at least initially. Neither will be in game shape anyway. Once they get into game shape, maybe start whoever is playing best between Geronimo and Race and Galloway and Xavier. The team seems to be developing some chemistry with the current starters so it might be a mistake to disrupt things.

    Perhaps. But Gunn's defense is as bad or worse than the player he substituted for (Galloway).

    Not really. The guy he was guarding hit a 3 during Gunn's 1st minute in the game. Gunn did hit a short jumper but that was it.

    Gunn is shooting 10% from 3-point range yet insists on shooting them. Everyone likes his energy but he doesn't produce .

    Half of the turnovers were passes to nobody.

    Beard will have to sit out of coaching for a while and if some school gives him a chance start from the bottom again.

    TJD had 4 blocks and 17 defensive rebounds.

    Not true. When there is a switch or TJD is scoring, somebody needs to pick his Trayce's man and they aren't doing it.

    9 turnovers for IU compared to 1 for Northwestern. 8 steals for Northwestern compared to 0 for IU. Defense and ball protection are what are killing IU.

    If IU hopes to compete for top tier in the conference standings, they have to win on the road against teams like Iowa, Minnesota and Northwestern (and win at home).

    Some good players who transferred from IU at that time--Rich Valavicious and Bob Bender not to mention Larry Bird.

    Haymore was actually at IU for two years before transferring to UMass.
