B1G Programs on the Downward Slide
Deserthoozier replied to Chris007's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I think he’s a perfect fit there and has a lot of consistency. Who do they get instead? Piece o corn, always on the bubble. -
Looks like Will Wade really could have used “the big kid!”

Corruption in College Basketball

Shots been fired. This simply means they (NCAA) will take down Sean hard while Dollar ‘toupee’ Bill, Huckleberry Hound, K, Cal and Mack all do donuts in the parking lot! Just wait, Dickie and Bilas will fan the flames loudly how currupt Arizona was, how tough the NCAA was in penalizing them, and then lionize their BFFs for always doing things the right way! They’re noise bags and just part of the problem. -
Corruption in College Basketball

Arizona will be the big fish they fry to make an example of. They’re expendable, in the PAC, and don’t have the clout business connections or power that the ACC/SEC and ESPN sponsored entities do. Meanwhile for Dollar Bill, Deputy Dog, Cal, K and others...the show must go on. -
Duke is 19-2 and has only played 4 away games! Only two other schools in Div 1 have so few away games up to this point...the Rainbows (makes some sense) tied with 4, and UConn who would love to fast forward a half decade to get out from under the Ollie dumpster fire - leads with only 3 true road games. Looks like Coach K likes to self deal and stack the deck a bit. Remember when he argued that coaching the U18 USA team was actually a recruiting disadvantage? Hahaha!

Dan Dakich during Flor/Kent game
Deserthoozier replied to RaceToTheTop's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
It’s a choice that SOME radio hosts make - to shock jock. He chooses to do so and leverages past relationship with IU/lingering bitterness to take pot shots, often under the belt blows. Knows his his demo, knows that it will trigger reaction and ratings. Might be part of the business, but not to my taste. Enjoy the buffet if you like, careful of the dysentery! -

Kind of compromises his authenticity and makes him a carnie hustler. If that’s entertaining to you, then fine. I think it’s obnoxious and desperate to chase ratings and $$$. He uses IU to shock, get listeners and create reaction - often at IUs expense. If you like to eat at that buffet, then fill yourself up. -

What audacity! Says the dude who was on tape and text with Adidas’s convicted bag-man...‘Just go get me some guys’! Nice one Toupee Bill!! Your morality keeps shining through.

Game Thread: Purdouche Edition

Watched this one on delay. Sad state of affairs when I’m excited to only be down 6 at the half. -
Holy Shittu!

Horrible management of tragic institutional issue. Impact to althletics, where it occurred- none. Izzo and Dantonio’s toll for their culpability - maybe an uncomfortable couple of weeks of pressers. How’s are they doing healing the community and helping the victims?

3 thoughts — NEWKIRK, Newkirk, n-e-w-k-i-r-k! I’m sure he was a good kid, tried to help fill a position gap for FCTC, just never had the mustard to run the show effectively and make good decisions. Was tough to watch him bring it up. Hope he is successful in whatever he chooses to do now.

Love me some aimless Dribble Weave — from a distance!

Interesting article, with relevant portion below The break... https://www.knoxnews.com/story/sports/columnists/university-of-tennessee/john-adams/2019/01/05/ut-vols-tennessee-basketball-looks-best-team-country-again/2435586002/ The Bulldogs performance raised a number of questions – like, why did they pay Crean so much money to become its coach? By halftime, if any Georgia fans still had enough courage to watch, they probably were yearning for the good old days of Mark Fox. As overmatched as Georgia’s defense was against Tennessee, its offense wasn’t exactly dazzling. The Bulldogs’ plan seemed to be: Dribble aimlessly on the perimeter before jacking up a 3-point attempt or making an awkward drive to the basket. Then, repeat. Neither option proved successful. Georgia made only one of 20 3-point attempts and hit just 32.1 percent of its shots overdall. The Bulldogs did succeed in one area. They made Tennessee look like the class of college basketball.
