As a coach I don't get why you would put out information pertaining to another team, whether directly or indirectly. And in this particular case it seems more risky since you're courting a player and family who prefer things be kept tight-lipped. Darnell was my neighbor growing up. He was about 5 years older than me, so I never got to play with him. I would just watch him shoot at the YMCA, shot after shot. His free throw streak wasn't surprising in the least. I'll say this: he and his dad should have offered to replace the net on the middle basket weekly. Good guy from a good family!
