  6. There is a poster on the Vandy board who actually made that comparison. I think he was being a little tongue-in-cheek about it, but it was still humorous. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

  12. People are getting hung up on the fact his family traveled with him. Apparently he made his most recent trip to Bloomington without them. Lots of possibilities for this, most of which will be discussed here as conspiracy theories at best. As involved and protective of Romeo as Tim Langford has been, I think we often overlook the impact mom and dad have here, as well as their points of view... If my child was making the biggest decision of his life so far and I could only accompany him to one visit, it would be to the destination I thought was the wrong choice. 13. He set foot in the state of Tennessee. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  14. Bringing it back to basics. I like it. The hype (and hyperventilating) is in the storybook scenario of an Indiana HS basketball great bringing IU back to national prominence. He would help. But him committing elsewhere will not break this program, despite what some may say. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  15. My bad, Choop. Didn't mean to post over your pic. Were you trying to get toilet girl off the header too? Haha Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

  18. We talk about the pros and cons of IU/Vanderbilt/Kansas, (over)analyze the game visits and coaching visits, bicker about why he hasn't committed before his clearly stated timeline, etc, etc. My take, and this may have already been discussed so I apologize if that's the case, is that he is already building his brand. He's doing it after each game. I think he does it because he is a considerate and fine young man. He may not even realize it's building his off-court persona (or at least didn't when he started this). But, if he realizes IU is one heck of an opportunity to build his brand as a legend in the state of Indiana's basketball lore, obliging himself to the IU faithful is a good start to do just that. Couple it with the huge potential of IU to compete next year, and I mean really compete, it's a nice combination for a guy that's heading to the big stage soon. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

  20. AD will be an asset as an upperclassman. He's got a positive drive and has already shown an ability to finish and/or get to the line. He's played on potential right now, but I think Archie sees he'll be willing to work to improve. The shooting will improve and so will his confidence. I can see his value being similar to that of a McRoberts; the spark plug, if you will, and probably a good locker room guy. He just seems like a positive kid. Of course, this is all just based off my personal observations. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  21. And that's with the garbage time 3 at the buzzer. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  22. Some, but probably not as much as other coaches in their respective programs. Location/opportunity speaks for itself there. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  23. Then he's either settling to play for Alford or hoping for a decent coaching change in the near future. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

  25. http://v6.player.abacast.net/2126 Coach Shannon with Kent Sterling yesterday, for anyone who might be interested. I personally haven't listened yet, so I can't claim any potential insight re: Romeo's recruitment. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
