  1. We scored 6 points against Iowa, 0 against PSU, 15 against MSU, 7 against OSU, 7 against UM, 3 against Rutgers. That’s 38 points across 6 games. Take out the MSU game and it’s 23 points across 5 games. I don’t care who your QBs are that’s atrocious. Plus the play calling has been unimaginative and predictable. I do have the answer, fire Sheridan.
  2. Probably Sheridan?!?!? In what universe should Sheridan return next year?
  3. And what exactly does “sending a message” accomplish? It sounds cute but means nothing. Florida “sent a message” last week by firing their defensive coordinator and fcs Samford put up 42 points in the first half against them.
  4. Pretty sure OSU had 42 points with 8 minutes left in the 2nd.
  5. Like it or not, Tom Allen isn’t going to fire anyone to score style points. Like you said, it’s not going to change much of anything to fire anyone now.
  6. Pretty sure his reference to a good first game was today’s game.
  7. Also I wonder if a 42 point difference vs. the spread is the highest of the year.
  8. And now Purdue has more points in two drives against Ohio State than we scored all game against Rutgers.
  9. But we only lost one starter correct? How could it be that much worse? Also, although defense isn’t even close to our main issue, losing Womack is also a big difference.
  10. We lost Harry Crider, Whop Philyor, Stevie Scott, Jerome Johnson, Jamar Johnson, Jovan Swann. Anyone else? By my count we returned 16 of 22 starters so it is really is beyond unreal that we are this bad.
  11. I’m pretty sure everyone is not going to be loving everyone after this game.
  12. Is this the worst offensive half of football in program history?
  13. The funny thing was all anyone could talk about was his recruiting ranking. But if you went to the Utah board, there was a reason he was buried on the depth chart. He wasn’t good when he came here and has never been good.
  14. Seriously wtf was Fryfogle doing there?
  15. Lol. "He looked 6'10. Very mean." I also don't really see a push there though. And if a restaurant accepted my order and I showed up and they told me they couldn't fulfill it, I think I'd be pissed too. I think this is a big nothing "burger"
  16. I’m not sure how anyone is spinning this as anything but a huge loss. It’s a position of need, and a guy we invested a ton of time and energy into. I realize the sun will still go up tomorrow, but this is not great.
  17. Where did anyone say Allen needs to be fired after this year? He won’t be and shouldn’t be but how could anyone not be questioning him at this point? I mean this year is the absolute definition of underperformance…it’s actually pretty remarkable at this point.
  18. Honestly so much less painful than watching Patrick Mahomes in a State Farm commercial.
  19. The only reason the jury is still out on Warren is that it’s the middle of his first season. He’s been awful and won’t make it past year 2.
  20. As starters I agree, as backups I would strongly disagree.
  21. I didn’t say they were happy he was leaving, they appreciated his recruiting abilities. But their evaluation of his DB coaching skills were not glowing. Obviously lots of variables and impossible to prove causation, but pretty easy to say they improved this year in that department.
  22. I think the question then becomes does either Tuttle or Penix suit up for us as backups next year?
  23. Did anyone else read the Georgia boards after we hired him? Their thoughts on the job he did as the DBs coach were not sterling.
  24. I feel like Warren was brought in mainly for recruiting purposes. I’m not sure there was much to support him having the toolset to be a successful d coordinator. I remember reading Georgia’s board after the hire and while they seemed like they would miss him as a recruiter, they weren’t too fond of the job he did with the DBs.
