I agree. I was just saying there have been plenty of signs of being able to do everything asked of him in his role, but consistency and lack of agression took him out of games too much. Archie will make a huge difference for both and I know practice wise CuJo has already improved leaps and bounds. I think Freddie McSwain will improve the most from a new coach. Crean only used his athletic abilty. Archie will use his toughness and strength as major positives for him as well as his athletic ability. I am very high on him as well. Lotta talent on the floor too. That gives me hope he has gotten more agressive. IMO that was his main weakness. I think up to this post, he has done EVERYTHING good to great at times, but just never seemed to take that next step. I get why some scouts have him as a sleeper for the NBA after this year, but it will take him taking that extra dribble, shooting more and going to the rim more. He is good once he gets in the lane. Juwan Morgan will be involved with this years Adidas Nations. Also if you listened to Assembly Call last night there was a projection of him leaving after this year. He must be having a good offseason. I think the kid has All B1G talent just think he is too much of a swiss army knife to make one part of his game really good. Bowen, King, Adel & Sutton as well as Perry & Nwora will all split time on the wing this year. At least 4 are back next year and that is still enough talent to make Romeo think. If they get Dort & add Simons & Ramey to the mix it gets even more complicated. Romeo can play ANYWHERE. I just think there is too much talent on the wings. It'd be different if the talent difference was far apart, but Bowen, King & Simons are all 5 stars, Sutton was a highly sought after transfer, Perry & Nwora look seem under ranked & they are still after more guys. Honestly I would think UK would be an easier route talent wise. From the 2 to wing spots that is. Even if he wants to play point he will have at the very least a senior Snider, Ramey & Perry as well as maybe Dort to compete for minutes with. No way all these kids are okay playing 15-20 mpg. U of L is gonna have plenty of talent regardless. Malik Williams, one of Brian Bowen or V.J King no way both do enough to go pro with Deng Adel, a senior Quentin Snider, Courtney Ramsey, Anfernee Simons, Jordan Nwora, Ray Spadling, Darius Perry & whoever else they get in this class. Dwayne Sutton who is a forgotten kid who played well before transferring as a freshmen. It is possible they win a title this year & MAYBE Adel, King & Bowen all go pro and maybe even Spadling. They would still be very good and with him a contender again. Sorry but U of L is set up too good for the next 2 seasons for talent to be used as any reason to be concerned and wait around. Deng Adel could also be a problem. I forgot about him. I fully expect him gone after this year though. Snider, Ramey, Deng, King, Simons were/are all top ranked kids. I am sure Pitino finds a way to get him on the court, but all those guys are gonna be expecting to play a lot so minutes may not be there for him to play more than 28 mpg. If the sense is King & Adel are gone after this year I don't like our chances as much, but if even one may come back and plays well then I reaaaaalllllyyyy like our chances. Just my opinion though. To piggyback that, most people think he is U of L's De'Ron Davis but King was a consensus 5 star and if Simons plays the 2 then King will take minutes from the 3 from Romeo. Either way if he stays(some think he could leave early and go in the 1st next year) one of those kids isn't gonna be happy. The path to PT and being "the guy" is at lot easier here than there. De'Ron Davis and V.J King would be the only guys that could leave. King would take minutes away from him, but he would still get playing time. I know some will some it will be Spring based off his comments, but I have heard he could pop by December. If it really is us or U of L why wait longer honestly? I just don't see the reasoning to wait longer and like you stated he wants to focus on his HS season. The Adidas thing helps both schools so. We shall see.
