  1. The Cavs? Really? They have one of the worst front offices in sports. They've gotten LeBron. That is all the Cavaliers have done in the history of their franchise. Boston is up with the top. Considering they're only 1 of 7 teams to win an NBA title in the last 17 years.
  2. Xavier has been more relevant than us for awhile. They've been very consistent for quite some time.
  3. Hunter and Rozier are Rookie's. They aren't expected to do much. They got rid of David Lee actually. That Nets trade will last them another 15 years thanks to getting their draft picks unprotected. The Smart draft choice wasn't bad actually because he's a good defender which is what Stevens wants. He has Smart, Bradley, Turner and Crowder that are really good wing defenders. That front office giving the pieces to Bread Stevens that Stevens needs for now. Ainge is also stocking up on assets to make the big trade.. or two... AGAIN. Yes that front office is very good and very loyal to coaches.
  4. C'mon.. let's be realistic. No one.. would ever leave an successful NBA with a great front office for a college coaching job. Doesn't matter what is in their contract or whether it was their dream job. Because a successful NBA team will always be considered a better job. And it is. To try and match the greatness and go beyond the greatness of Phil Jackson, Pat Riley, Greg Popovich... and for Stevens.. it is the Celtics. It isn't the Nets or Bucks or Kings. It is the Celtics. That is godly in terms of basketball ranks. You coach the Celtics back into an elite championship contender... you're going to be looked at as one of the greatest of all time. You'll be held higher in the coaching ranks than what you'd have with making Indiana a title contender. No one is leaving that job. If the Celtics sucked then it'd be an idea to entertain. But they dont. They're a Top 5 team in the East. He's not leaving. It isn't a realistic option.
  5. Sean Miller is my top choice. Would he leave Arizona? Idk. Probably not. But maybe. We aren't getting Brad Stevens that's is fact. No one is dumb enough to leave an NBA head coaching job when you're successful, have a great front office and a bright future for the college ranks.
  6. Archie? We should make a strong run at Sean. He's done great with the Arizona program and is a great recruiter.
  7. Those were bad. I was just talking about the out conference stuff where we looked like a bad 5th grade team.
  8. Maui and Duke was an embarrassment.
  9. I'd say we're underachieving thanks to the joke our team was earlier in the year.
  10. I have no idea. Stevens and Donovan are not realistic or close to it. We're going to have to take a chance with someone if there is a chance. If he's not good enough.. fire him quickly.
  11. I never said anything about Drew.
  12. It isn't necessarily multiple national titles though that'd be great. But we should be competing with Kansas, Duke, Kentucky and North Carolina. Not trying to compete with Wisconsin. Do you see the difference? The sustained success of a Kansas is what we should want. They've won 1 title under Self. But been to two national title games. They went to the Elite in 12-13. Won a share or won the Big 12 outright the past 11 years and going on 12. That is the sustained success we want. Every year competing for a Big Ten title. Not once every 4 years. Every year being considered a national title contender. Not once every 10 years. Winning 25+ games a year. Not just hoping 20 can get us in the tourney. Not worrying about who is leaving because we know what is coming in is highly talented and can keep the consistency going. Does this make sense?
  13. Well either we're going to be mediocre under Crean or be mediocre with a possibility of something great happening under a different coach. That's the risk you have to take at some point.
  14. So one season should be why we keep him? Notv the other 7 that have shown he can't build a consistent winner? He couldn't do it at Marquette and he can't do it here. You have to look at v the body of work and his isn't good enough. It isn't even close.
  15. Crean has showed where a once in a lifetime talent can take you.
  16. Come tourney time every one slows down. Throughout the year teams will play as fast as they can.. and then slow it down in tourney time. It is weird. Same way in the NBA. Pace is much slower. Makes you have very little margin for error.
  17. None of the reporters have the balls to ask anything with meaning.
  18. mdn82... PM me. I'm apparently not allowed to use it.
  19. I'm not holding my breath. I was done with him after the 13-14 season. He has more than well proven he can't adjust to a roster. We've had multiple disappointing seasons. 10-11, 13-14 and 14-15. The bad outweighs the good. And it isn't close.
  20. That's ok. Because they were tied with us in conference. :D
  21. she scored 52 today. She scored 60 against Northwestern two weeks ago. Ridiculous.
  22. Things happen. Especially in the tourney. I shouldn't have said Hartman is needed. He is. But not in the starting lineup if we have a better piece. UK's problem last year was Cal being loyal. He was very loyal to the twins. I'd say he learned from that.
  23. I wouldn't call RJ a Hartman. He does force things. That's why he turns it over like he does. It is like an epidemic on our team. Too often Yogi, Troy, RJ and JBJ tried forcing things. Same can be said with Bryant. I really don't know how Hartman turns it over as much as he does. Or turns it over at all. He really never needs to dribble.
  24. I don't WANT to start Williams. But there is more of a reason to start him over Hartman if need be. If Bryant leaves and Williams comes back then we have DD, Williams and OG. If Bryant and Williams come back then we could have Bryant, DD and Williams. With Juwan, OG and Hartman off the bench.
