1. Who cares? They can get their degree at any point in time in their lives.
2. Who cares where they play and have players live.
3. Bledsoe was recruited by Billy Gillespie and committed before Cal was hired.
4. I don't really know about the academics of those players. I do know that MKG was an absolute monster in college and destroyed us.
5. They won't play us on a campus. I have a problem with that too. But also understandable why they don't considering CBB is a big money business and a recruiting game.
6. There is zero proof that boosters paid Davis.
7. Still no proof with his involvement.
8. They have won 1 national title. And have been to the Final Four two other times. They've only missed the Elite 8 once.
9. They have a right to shout over anyone with their success. That is how it works. The game is about winning. That is what they do. They may been spitting loose teeth and smoking meth but the team they like wins.
You'd think so. But coaches can't know everything. We'd still have Perea, Davis and Holt on the team if they did right? Louisville would be eligible for the tourney as well? It is asking too much of a coach to know everything little thing that goes on. That is a huge difficultly for college coaches.
I think that comes more out of hatred and jealousy. And not just looking at what he's done there. And I know "he cheats and blah blah blah". He's never actually been caught for anything. He was found to have no knowledge when it came to Camby and Rose. Facts are facts. He's the greatest recruiter ever. And he's a good coach. A bad coach would never be able to handle the ego's he has to.
He won't be Redshirting unless an injury happens. And no one wants to hear of an injury. Tim Priller wasn't even redshirted and this kid has more talent and higher ceiling than him.
Since Thad Matta was at Xavier.. they are averaging about 24 wins a season. They've reached the Sweet 16 five times and moved on to the the Elite 8 twice. That is pretty good. In the same amount of time.. Indiana is averaging almost 19 wins a game. Reached the Sweet 16 and made the national title game in 01-02 which was Thad Matta's first year at Xavier.
I didn't say just one and dones. But they should be able to contribute a little as freshman and more as sophomores. Whether they come back as Juniors is their decision. Grant Gelons and Tim Prillers won't win you any titles.
