Indiana vs Rutgers Saturday 11/5 12PM ET on BTN

The only things that scares me is the early kickoff. Wouldn't be surprised to see Wilson call an onside kick or early trick play to try to get the guys energized early. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

I would say there is more taboo around complaining about this practice than there is regarding actually doing it. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Signal stealing is something that goes on everywhere. Every staff has guys looking across the field to see if they can pick up on anything from the other sidelines. It's why offenses go to great lengths to disguise and mislead with intricate signs and signaling systems. Always been surprised that defenses haven't gone that route yet. EDIT: I have no idea if IU does, but it's just something that's not that uncommon, and in my opinion is fair game unless you are using technology to try to steal them. Candy stripe unis for the Nebraska game

I wonder if it will actually say Hoosiers on the back or if it will be the player's name (noting that adidas can't uses the names of players in advertising.) Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

    Indiana defeats MSU! Postgame Thread

This is definitely true. I always remember Sudfeld having consistency issues really all the way until he returned after missing the PSU game last season when he took over and willed us to a bowl game. The true irony of the Lagow criticism is that he has a higher completion percentage right now than Nate did for any season. Lagow definitely has room to improve, and a few of the INT's have looked ugly, but he has had to shoulder a much larger burden than anticipated this early with the injuries up front (not to mention the fact that he hasn't had the luxury of Simmie Cobbs at all this season) and here we are at 3-1 with a victory over Sparty, he has completed over 62% of his passes, thrown for over 1200 yards and has accounted for 11 touchdowns. For a guy 4 games into D-1 competition, I'll take it.

With Oakes there was no such thing as a chip shot. I liked going for the TD in that position with the way the D was playing having MSU pinned down if not converted Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Playing football is a privilege. Good job by the team immediately removing that privilege. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

I don't want to speculate because I know nothing about the young man, or situation, but the fact that he confessed leads me to believe that he didn't think what he was doing is wrong, (most child molestation cases the perp will go to great lengths to conceal the crime) he is likely in need of professional help and my only hope is that the criminal justice system does its job and properly serves justice to all the parties involved. 10. From the video posted today it looked like Feeney might have been practicing in a non contact jersey. Could have been another linemen though. Usually last step of concussion protocol is a practice with full gear and no contact that you get through symptom free. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Husky is the rolled down safety. Stinger is what they call the weakside backer. Bandit was the rush backer in Knorr's defense, not sure if they still call one of the end's the bandit.

(2017) TE Michael Ziemba to IU

I don't think it would. I really believe that the only positions that recruiting other guys at the same positions hurts you are QB and RB. One, those guys usually have a bigger ego than other position players. Secondly, those are the only positions where only one guy can play at a time (typically). I guess only one kicker, punter and long snapper play at a time, but we usually don't end up in heated recruiting battles for those guys. LOL.

I don't know, with Oliver, Scales and Simmons being proven at ILB (take proven as you will) Newton was already at a disadvantage coming from the old SAM backer position to Mike or the new "Stinger" position. Plus, I think the coaches see Oliver and Scales as the best 2 guys at LB by a decent margin and will want them on the field as much as possible. Finding a niche as the "big back" while Patrick is rehabbing the knee could very well get him on the field more than LB. CKW has shown even with a stud back like Coleman or Howard, he still prefers to get up to 3 backs in the game (mostly because of how many snaps our offense plays, it would be insane to ask 1 or even 2 guys to carry that load all season. Without Patrick and not counting Natee, all our backs are in the 205 range. It is odd though, on it's face, for a guy to switch positions this late in the game. Wilson is big on guys being at their best when they are happy with where they are though. Either way he is likely a guy that contributes on every special team and can probably slide easily back to LB if need be.

Word on the street is that some of his "big time offers" are self reported and bogus. Still a talented kid, nonetheless. Just seems to have some baggage. Hopefully when he gets here he is ready to really commit, for lack of a better term.
