Troy is BTN not BTN+. It was announced to be BTN TV recently. Western Ill. and Portland St. and tonight BTN+. SD St. could go either way as you said.

You do realize Big Ten requires you to play once BCS opponent every non-conf right? Someone from a power 5 conference or Cincy or UConn. Can't just schedule three cream puffs. Glass would love to but hands are tied. That's how Wake and Virginia were on schedule previously.

It might be time to ask if IU's medical staff is not doing something right or Archie is practicing them to hard? Should not have this amount of injuries two yrs in a row especially this early. It's not the NFL.

Once again IU blows a game and is swept by a mediocre Iowa team with tons of injuries after blowing 3 match points. This year is certainly a big step back. Aird deserves time and hopefully this is just a bump but this team is certainly a dark spot in a pretty strong fall for IU sports.

Anyone starting to think Debord's play calling and not Ramsey were main issue last yr? Obviously Penix has a better arm which is important bu Ramsey is a decent Big Ten QB when game called properly.

That takes the missed extra point out of play since we would of kicked it there had we not missed one.

Some people are better at playing through pain then others. Ramsey can play with pain. Penix has a hard time doing so. At least thats what I have heard through back channels.

Also I didn't love Vedral going off. He is a backup for a reason. McCaffrey like Penix could be a stud and their best QB but we know coaches hate playing freshman over veterans. I don't get it and we may be facing a better QB by knocking Vedral out.

No ones cool with that and D was horrible but Ramsey screw up changed the whole game. Even if D steps up we have a one score game. If Ramsey doesn't mess up we probably have a two score lead. Neither is infallable and both deserve blame but Ramsey started it.

I like Ramsey a lot and especially as a backup but lets stop acting like he is less prone to mistakes then Penix. Both make mistakes and are similar but Penix has better arm with ball arriving faster. Otherwise they are similar with Ramsey being much more durable from a health standpoint. Both are accurate and either can make mistakes.

This Nebraska team has talent but not terrific on discipline. More talented then any team we have team not named MSU or OSU but shoots itself in foot. Remind me of last yrs IU basketball team

Nebraska fans are classless booing every time we get a player injured. Never seen anything like this.

Still not sure on Martinez.

Sounds like FIsch was wrong and Martinez plays with brace but that may not make him very dangerous.

Fisch just said Martinez will not play but he was announced as starter at game.

Only good thing I will say is Martinez is supposedly wearing a brace so maybe that limits him and we can win a lower scoring game. Not sure what Penix's issue is. Everything I have heard through back channels suggested concussion but he I am not sure if he is allowed to take snaps pre-game then which he did in limited fashion. Also wearing a small brace on his knee which would suggest knee. I would assume one of the two or both. Either way clearly he is injury prone and we need a reliable backup when Ramsey graduates.

Story of the game: Neb has all of their injured players IU does not so not sure we win. With that said Penix or Ramsey should beat this NW train wreck next week. Don't see Penix returning until after bye which was my gut all along. Probably at 6-3 losing this week and beating NW. Penix returns against PSU where we lose anyways. Then an outside chance vs. Michigan if Penix plays and hopefully a win over an eliminated PU team. Most likely 7-5 or 8-4 with loses today and PSU and wins over NW and PU. Michigan probably a loss but could be a win.

This year so far has been a step backwards in conference which isn't great but Aird deserves time to turn the program around.
