Schilling has alot of trust and respect among HS coaches who have been around a while in the state. He is a known commodity as a developer and teacher of talent. If the parents of Romeo are true, deep down believers that he is a 1 and done, then, with the uncertainty of CAM's coaching philosophies that may sway them towards another program. You know what you will get with K and Pitino. But, and a big one at that, Romeo's parents value education and he is a great kid with a good head on his shoulders. It's amazing the time he gives to fans both young and old down here. He really is beloved as a young man and not just a player. He seems to be a very gracious kid. I think that even with some of the past situations during the Crean era, we have more of a family core value and student first approach then that of UofL and that resonates with his family and is important to them. Yes, that goes the same for Duke but I do think distance is a factor here. If Archie truly makes him the #1 priority, and stays on top of this, I believe he is ours for the taking. JMO! Most of us folk down here SouIn are sold that pUKe is not going to get him. Alot of talk that the parents are not fans of Calislimy. My thoughts are it's definitely a 3 horse race. Talk here is that we have made up alot of ground and are a legit choice along with Duke and Hooker U. You would think that JBJ would've extended his shooting range distances during his pre draft workout practices in the above posted video. That is where he would primarily be utilized. Just watched it myself. So intriguing. Never liked Behiem, and well, we all know about Sampson. But lost some respect for Coach K after his remarks as to why he or other head coaches would never hire someone like the Baylor asst coach Ash. Turnovers are the key! You allow more opportunities for your opponent and less for yourself. Cut those by 35% on average and you are allowing 4-8pts less and in turn hopefully scoring 4-8pts more. Born and raised in New Albany. IU fan my whole damned life. 56yrs of it. When I was growing up, it was rare to see an IU game on TV unless it was a Sat CBS game. There was no cable then. Used to sit at the kitchen table with my grandpa and listen on the old am radio that looked like a beer keg. We did however get to watch the UofL games. So I cannot say that I hate Louisville. Say what you want. They are top 3 in attendance every year and their program makes a hell of a lot more money than ours. Their fans are just as loyal and educated as ours. Plus it is the #1 tv market for college basketball in the country. As far as the Yum center, Bankets Life doesn't hold a candle. I telling boys, this is a worry.
