Our defensive positioning on the bucket underneath against Smith and the three pointer afterwards was so bad it is almost funnny. Smith goes right to the guys left shoulder and almost said “please, spin right to the basket”. The negativity is getting old but so is this play after a year and a half. National Champinship team.....Not even close but enough talent to not look like this.

I’ll say one thing in regards to the success of halftime adjustments.....The results are consistent.

Last 4 games Minny has averaged less than 60 a game. Maybe our ferocious defense will hold them to 17 in the second half.

UK got royally screwed by an end of game no-call goal tending. I did not realize that goal tending cannot be reviewed. Really crazy because the refs reviewed if the tip-in was before the clock expired but they could not call the goal tending which they clearly saw when reviewing the clock. In summary, UK was screwed so I don’t care.

I agree and really, really hope it works out. While there are some things I find disappointing I’m not anti-Archie nor do I want to see us start all over yet again.

Yea, there is that :). That being said everyone thought the Ville was a complete dumpster fire. You have to admit it is impressive what he has done in his first year after the Scott Padget emergency year. It’s not as though it was a seamless transition from a great Petino year to Mack. Just asking, because I don’t know, but has he played games against “talent” (ie just not guys that would be pretty good at the HYPER) ? Is he going to, or has he already, play in competitive AAU?

I was very disappointed DeRon did not at least start the second half of the OSU game. Archie started the same 5 guys and they got off to a terrible start (just like the beginning of the game). I’m not saying get rid of Archie but how in the hell do you start Smith in the second half after his first half? If I’m Smith I just assume I’m the starter no matter what. I don’t get it.

In a way I don’t have a problem with this train of thought because I understand a business student picking IU because of Kelly (ie the school will help me get the job I want). On the other hand I cannot believe how overblown the “”Cal will get you to the NBA “ mantra is. He has a lot of players in the NBA because he successfully recruited NBA talent. I could have coached Davis, Rose, Wall etc into the pros while drinking beer, rubbing my belly and watching TV. How many UK players are in the league that no one thought had a chance? My guess is virtually no one, That should be the marker.
