  1. I would like to retract my previous Zeisloft statement
  2. Love to have Nick shoot his way out of this slump, but we need a lead before we can put him in at this point. Liability
  3. Rojo has been a non-factor, since JBJ went down. I thought he would be the one to step up.
  4. Also, without JBJ our 3 pointers seem a bit sparse and pace seems labored. We got 16 points to make up. We can do some of this on the defensive end, but if we are limited to the half court, well, we've seen how we play.
  5. Man, I wish JBJ a swift recovery! While trying to be objective, I would just look at other highly rated college players that have incurred injury in high school and college. If you look at players like KI Irving, Greg Oden, and countless others when you have an injury or injuries in high school and then college in a chronic nature it is naïve to think it will not carry over into the professional realm.
  6. On another note, IU v. Rutgers on BTN at 3:00 CST, while the following games are on the ESPN family of networks at the same time: Tulsa @ Cincinnati TCU @ Oklahoma MSU @ Minnesota transitioning to Notre Dame @ Virginia As a lifelong fan, seems like IU doesn't get the love from ESPN. BTN is a bit lame in my estimation. Is this A scheduling thing that I'm not privy to or are we just not getting any love from the major sports networks.?
  7. I admit I don't understand the logistics and I'm not a medical professional, but if one of your McDonald's all Americans has a knee injury shouldn't all of the evaluations have been done ASAP? Is it wise to wait several days to perform additional tests and evaluations? At this point, shouldn't the assessments be over and the prognosis and treatment plan be instituted?
  8. I mean at what point does all the speculation this secrecy engenders defeat any benefit where disclosure would just be more productive?
  9. I did argue it earlier and was informed that the Committee will only pay attention to wins.
  10. IMHO, the entire team played as if they were hungover. I'm not implying in the slightest anyone was, but the vast majority of the team was just a step or three off today. It is the type of performance one would expect after hangover.
  11. Make that single digit lackluster victories over shoddy opponents
  12. Yep. They will look at near victories over shoddy opponents. I agree with you.
  13. This is a W only in the sense we scored more points. In almost all other respects, it is a tremendous loss.
  14. If by owning them, you mean beating them by 12 to 16 points then you would be correct, sir or madam.
  15. Unbelievable that we are not up 25 despite all of our flaws. Rutgers looks like they've been taking defense of lessons from IU. Further, they couldn't find a shooter on Chicago's southside.
  16. Well, given the initial buzz surrounding our chances this year and regular poor outings, the Fanbase is understandably disenchanted and deflated at this point in the season. The team needs to show us something before many people are willing to become completely invested.
  17. Z missing two in a row. You don't see that often.
  18. The hutzpah on this guy. He is the poster child for mediocrity and he is waxing indignant like no other. Earn something and then you can be indignant. You are Mike Brey, not Mike Krzyzewski, please make a note of it.
  19. IUs Nonconference schedule has been much-maligned. Obviously, this is rightly and justly so. This ostensibly would be easily remedied with the following:j Scheduling Kentucky and Louisville possibly on alternating years, but possibly both every year, would perpetuate regional rivalries, increase ticket sales, and bolster our floundering nonconference schedule. Scheduling one or more of the following,; Duke, Kansas, and any other perennially top 25 team. You need Three indisputable quality games w/ wins before the start of conference play. This would seem to be a no-brainer. Please make it happen.
  20. Great post! Rojo seems fundamentally refined playing within himself. Players ought - rebound, defend, minimize TOs and hit FTs. This is the core identity of teams and players that win. He does most of these things, although you would like to see an increase in FT %. Keep up the good work, RJ!
  21. Me too. Bringing back some amazing childhood memories.
  22. Played D tonight. We can do it again. No excuses.
  23. Is he pronouncing niego, niegro? I swear he said it twice.
