IU VS Michigan - Pre-Game Thread- 2/2 9PM EST ESPN
Hoosiers219 replied to BlueDevil's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
In this day and age and with this type of player, 30 seconds is more than enough. I appreciate the day when the 45 second shot clock was appropriate; however, that time has come and gone. IMHO -

If TB goes 25 and 10, I'll be ecstatic. I have to think that we shake off our recent three point woes as well. However, I am concerned that even this will be insufficient to pull out a victory. Much like the recent X-Files offerings, I WANT TO BELIEVE! Go Hoosiers! -

The imagery is comical I will give you that. However, this is a bold, bold prediction. I can only hope that it actually comes to fruition. -
Who are we losing other than Yogi as a starter? TB is the most likely. However, I have a strong feel he will be back next year. He does have some work to do. JBJs injury guaranteed he'd be in college another year. Troy would be ill advised to go anywhere. Sorry off topic a bit

At the after game presser, did CTC actually say he was fine with the defensive effort? I thought he led with that and then hedged a bit. How could anyone be happy with the defensive play in the second half? No TOs! You don't call one?! I would have sat Troy BTW. His low bball IQ does injury to his play and the team's. He reacts. He does not anticipate. He doesn't learn. I wish he would because he has tremendous possibilities. As coach, CTC has to try to get through to him, if he has any hopes of playing any minutes outside of the D league.

I think everyone is anticipating a blowout, but after last Tuesday and our upcoming schedule, I'll relish every victory no matter how lopsided. I will hope for us winning the remaining games we ought win and hope against hope we win a few we are picked to lose. With iowa's loss to the Terps, we still have a punchers chance to take the conference. In light of our play earlier this year, I'm grateful we are in the position we are in presently, while simultaneously expecting more of our players and especially staff going forward. Go Hoosiers! Beat Minny!

OG vs Troy - Who Should Start
Hoosiers219 replied to JaybobHoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Well, I prefer OG off the bench because he injects a great deal of energy and defensive toughness that her second unit can use. However, I do think that OG would fit in well to the starting lineup. I would also like to see Troy sit and think about caring for the ball. It just seems under many other coaching staffs Troy would've been sat down to reflect upon his reoccurring problem with turnovers. Troy might also flourish in this sixth man role for a time. Therefore, OG now and Troy once he's had time to reflect about the value of the sessions. -

When you don't have any quality wins, this would be close to a quality win, if we were to secure it on the road. Too bad we were unable to capitalize. -

As athletic as Troy is, why doesn't he just take the ball strong to the group rather than trying to finger roll it in from various positions? -

How long do think it will take him? Love Troy's potential, but shouldn't he have learned to slow down a little at this point? -

Apparently, Rob Johnson has an injury that is the cause of his recent lackluster play. Has there been any report or information shared to elaborate on this injury.? If not, is this extreme lack of transparency necessary? Wouldn't the fact that Rob Johnson is injured to a certain degree help pundits, the media and all fans better understand some of these less than inspired performances?
