  1. Hey don't tempt me, where you at
  2. Guys this has to stop I'm almost out of alcohol
  3. I feel like Goodman is directly asking me at this point.
  4. I'm trying boys. I also realize I need to change my name, it sounded like a good one when I made it years ago and obviously when I joined here I didn't take the time to let my creative juices flow and just stuck with it.
  5. Only 998 more pages until 2,000!
  6. I'll be more than happy to be a reference for him. He's a great coach, offensive genius, amazing recruiter and developer of talent, true leader, he's a homerun hire you should not pass him up!
  7. He's a very good coach and has a good thing going at Bellarmine. Not trying to bash you, don't think he's worth gambling on jumping from DII and have IU his first D1 job, especially given his age. I think he's better off staying at Bellarmine and possibly win one more title and go down as one of the best DII coaches.
  8. No. And he's not going anywhere, he'll ride it out at Bellarmine.
  9. Rural King has you covered
  10. I could be wrong, and maybe there's a reason, but I don't remember seeing OG on the bench for the conference games.
  11. Yea but Georgia has Spring Break that week so they deferred it back to us. Obviously joking, you're correct my mistake.
  12. Well in that case that would suggest they plan on losing to GT, because if they win it comes back to Bloomington for the second round
  13. I'll take 5, PayPal coming shortly
  14. Damn, guess I'll be rooting for Archie/Marshall and then anyone but Kentucky by myself.
  15. Just got word the announcement is coming in the next hour. Whoever wins the Archie vs Marshall first round game Is the next coach
  16. Thank you for letting me know that I'm never allowed to cheer for IU again if I decide not to cheer for pushing IU further and further in to obscurity.
  17. They did make the tournament that year, so the talk got louder after their early exit so that can explain the late announcement. Just trying to find any hope I still can
  18. Heading in to church, I'll be sure to say my prayers.
  19. This is my whole time favorite IU team. Granted I wasn't old enough to see any championship teams, but I can remember watching the 90s teams with Guyton and those guys with my dad. This team was just so fun to watch for me though, the played like a true unit not one or two guys trying to be the heroes. That being said, even though it gave davis the extension they still fired him. They problem started when they hired Sampson. IU was not in a terrible spot when davis left. Yea they weren't winning as much but that's all, it was still a destination spot. They just completely flopped on that hire.
  20. Anyone here attending these games? Might be cool to find a bar somewhere to watch the Saturday games with fellow BTB
  21. Correct, if we did that we would know Glass has no brain
  22. I heard BTownInsider is in fact Billy Donovan
  23. I would think Indiana officially announcing Billy Donovan as the coach for next season would somewhat help with him not physically being there for April recruiting in itself. If he can name an asst like others have mentioned to handle that process until he can come over, than you do it. Hiring Donovan at IU would have the same effect on a national level as when UK hired Calipari. You get that done no matter what who cares about a month or two recruiting for this season, he'll be here for multiple seasons.
  24. At least with Crean we always have a sense of there is light at the end of the tunnel, meaning there's a strong chance he is gone eventually. If not this year he will be gone sometime he is not gonna be a lifer. With Alford we'll settle for average foreverrrr, he's not going anywhere. I'd rather keep Crean knowing there are better replacements still out there versus taking Alford and shutting the door on everything for the next 20 years. I don't understand why all of a sudden he seems like a good idea. He's not the good, he already had a shot in the B1G and I don't want that at IU. Say what you want about he was at Iowa, Collins is at NORTHWESTERN, and has them in the tournament for the first time EVER in a short time. If Alford is so great he could have and should have done better at Iowa. I am 100% ready to get rid of Crean but I'm not willing to do it just to do, that's ignorant IMO.
  25. I've mentioned it before, but my biggest thing with Alford is this. I think it's a lateral move, but many people are saying he's better than what we have. So let's say he's "just better" than what we have, to me that's not good enough. The real problem is if we hire Alford and he's only "better than what we have now" he will be here forever. Maybe Alford gets us consistently in the top 5 of the conference again but I don't see him ever bringing a title here and or even being a consistent deep threat in the tourney. If he have put up with Crean this long and we still don't know if he's gone for sure, and Alford gets us slightly better, no chance in hell IU ever fires him. The risk with hiring Alford far outweighs the reward to me. Hire is a lifetime hire and I'm not okay with him as out coach for the next 20 years. Albeit if it does happen and he proves me wrong I have no problem admitting I was wrong, I will fully support him I just don't see him doing much more than what we have done under Crean.
