  1. LOL. Yeah, Crean teams were known for their defense and never losing games to lesser competition.
  2. What, you heard no news? Where did you hear that? :0
  3. Who had ''first basket scored at 2:55 pm' in the prediciton contest?
  4. Against a top team like Penn State, I see one of two results......we squeak out a fluke win or WE WIN IN A BLOWOUT.
  5. Robert Johnson. Have to respect his outside shot, ability to come inside and hit the floater, and hit the open man.
  6. Actually, he would have buried the cows with their rump in the air so that all their critics could have 'pinched their @$$'.
  7. I'll take three years of a top fifty player over one year of Romeo. UK has two or three Romeo's every year as well as a couple more right behind that.....and it's translated to one title.
  8. Sounds like a very mature kid....not many 17/18 year olds would know themselves well enough to feel that it would be in their best interests to spend a year and build their body open to make themselves a better player.
  9. 5 a year? C'mon. good thing Knight never had anyone transfer. The bottom line is that if a coach is winning, if a player transfers the fans blame the player. If the coach isn't winning, the fans blame the coach. It's never that black and white,
  10. Kind of cool, because when Troy Williams said the word 'marijuana' it was his code word for 'cocaine'.
  11. I can't think of anything I would consider over analysis. All analysis is worth viewing and thinking about.
  12. This is the post of a 'teacher'?
  13. Not at all. I wasn't finding the thread on him but assumed there was one. Thanks for pointing it out.
  14. I'd say in Vijay we have a Grant Gelon without using a scholarship. Honestly, I did feel like with the injuries we had last yearthat we should have at least seen what Gelon could do (probably not much, but he could shoot). It's not like when Gelon was in the game he stuck out like a sore thumb like Priller did....the few opportunities he had (albeit in garbage time against bench players) he played okay. He still probably was not good enough to ever be a significant contributor, but he didn't give himself the scholarship. Will be interested to see where he lands and how he does. Wouldn't be surprised if he ends up at, say, a Valparaiso University (close to his home town). Still won't be a starter there but probably would see some time as an off the bench shooter. Anyway, the point being is that Vijay is probably similar in scoring to Gelon, so in the process we 'kept Gelon' but got back the scholarship he was using.
  15. At St. Francis, he played the role of offense off the bench and was pretty successful at it. Averaged 9.2 ppg despite only playing 14.4 mpg. Shot 42% from the field but 43% from three (28 of 65 in 22 games). Left St. Francis on Jan. 26.....don't know the circumstances surrounding him leaving.
  16. Haven't seen it posted here, so forgive me. If someone else did. Italian player David's Moretti has set four visits up. Would be eligible this year. 6 3 combo guard. Other schools were Texas Tech and Utah (I don't recall the fourth). Moretti is ranked by NBA draft.net as the 13th best international player born in 1998.
  17. So Todd Leary would be off the hook because they happened later?
  18. So the real question is how well Swanigan will 'fitted' into the NBA. I do assume the fabricated stuff he was talking about at IU was the fabric on the banners.
  19. With Gelon gone, Tim Priller is considering transferring from the seat nine seats from the front of the bench to eight seats from the front.
  20. McRoberts being in the rotation last year was more of a problem with how Crean developed players than McRoberts actual production. Zac shouldn't be getting minutes over guys who have more talent and are developing.
  21. Yeah, he's a guy that if he had four years at IU I think could have really developed. At worst, he's a heck of an athlete who will go in and grab rebounds and look to get some putbacks.
  22. I guess I don't get the logic that past success doesn't bare any correlation to future success. I'll take past success over not having it.
  23. I love De'ron Davis, but he averaged 7 fouls per 40 minutes played last year....given foul problems and rest that big players need, I can't see him averaging North of 24 minutes per game next year.
