  1. As USPS has point out, 15 of IU's last 17 games right now would be Q1. While it likely won't end that way, you can probably safely bet on 12 or 13 Q1 games in the last 17. IU will not need 13 wins to get 'comfortably be'. It will be less than that. Thirteen conference wins + wins over Wintorp and Chattanooga would make IU 22-9.
  2. If you look at who the committee left out last year, they indicated the first four out were Oklahoma, Seton Hall, Indiana State, and PIttsburgh. Looking at the NIT bracket and seeing what teams turned down bids, teams that would be next would have been among a grouping of St. John's, Wake Forest, Utah, Villanova, Princeton, Cincinnati, and Ohio State. If you are looking at mid majors beyond that group to try to replace some of 'mediocre P5' teams, you are looking at schools like the North Texas and UC Irvine's of the world. I think that an expanded field of, say, eight teams is most likely going to consist of a about 60% P5 and (at best) 40% mid and low major. But I also think it's pretty much the only chance that you'll see teams like Indiana State get at large invites.
  3. Honestly, I would rather that they expanded the tournament and eliminated the NIT. So many teams from power 5’s turn those bids down. And if you are a mid major, gives more potential 2 bid leagues.
  4. Yep, all I’m seeing now is Nebraska -4 or -4.5
  5. Smaller humps means they are more obtainable.
  6. Especially since the additional games are likely going to be play in games like the first four. Not sure why anyone would think those games effect the quality of the tourney….if so, ignore them and start watching on Thursday.
  7. Martha, Mop Lady Fight for the cream and crimson Miss you channel four
  8. After this, two easy non conference games before we start league play in January….so this one will likely be the game everyone clings to for the next three weeks.
  9. Bloomington native. Would assume if IU wants him that he would be a huge IU lean.
  10. Dr. Google suggests it takes three to six months recovery. Would assume that he will redshirt.
  11. Where's Trey Galloway? He's hiding from a stalker Named Olivia
  12. Coach Michael Woodson Is not Curtis Cignetti Now a football school
  13. MIght be a blessing in disguise. He was having trouble getting court time this year, so if he redshirts would give him an extra year.
  14. In 7 years his current girlfriend will be 31 and he'll be looking for a new 24 year old girlfriend.
  15. North Carolina letting 73 year old Mack Brown and going after 73 year old Bill Belichick. For Belichick, this sounds more about ego than sound decision.
  16. Not often a team shoots 58% from the field and loses. Not a great defensive performance by UM and they killed themselves with 17 turnovers.
  17. SMU quarterback Preston Stone enters. Started for SMU in 2023, throwing for 3200 yards, 60% completion and 28 TDs to 6 interceptions. Lost the starting job to Kevin Jennings this season. In limited play, completed 30 of 51 passes for 421 yards, 5 TDs and 1 interception.
  18. Current rumor is that UNC has made a big push but Belichick has not agreed to anything. Another rumor out there is that the hang up might be that Belichick basically wants complete control of the football program with no interference from the athletic department...and that could be his way of trying to set his son up to inherit the position.
  19. Report on Dawgnation.com is that he is getting a second opinion, so I would assume the UCL rumor is true. And if it's true, it doesn't matter what opinion any doctor offers him, he can't throw.
  20. Not sure why you would say that. His numbers at Miami (F) are basically what Rourke put up against MAC competition when he was at Ohio. There are differences in the way that numbers translate and I'm sure that Cignetti looked at more than Rourke's numbers, but Van Dyke has talent. After he got the job at Miami near mid season as a freshman, he put together a six game string where he threw for 300+ every game and had 20 touchdowns. If Cignetti felt he was the guy for the system, I'd have no problem with it.
  21. IU up three spots on Pom after the Minnesota game, now at 41; 37 on Torvik.
  22. Considering that IU plays Nebraska on the thirteenth and then only plays two what should be easy non-conference games prior to January 2nd, this is one that probably will end up coloring the IU fanbase's mood for the next three weeks.
  23. Good win. Effort there, offense there. Second half defense not real good, but I'll take the win.
  24. He's one step from getting blow byes that are ending up getting blocked. Needs to improve there.
