  1. And hideous game from an officiating standpoint. Lots of fouls not called and the ones that were called had some really bad calls mixed in.
  2. He has had some open shots and won't take them.
  3. I like Leal but he has to show himself willing to take a shot.
  4. Hint: guys that are in the game for their shooting and not their defense can play with two fouls. But once again auto bench. Goode can play with two fouls.
  5. Any guess as to when they will actually call the first travel?
  6. Ugh Carlyle. BTW, does anyone else hear the whistle in the stands?
  7. He can't play long minutes at this level.....and if a team pushes pace it gets bad.
  8. Not many whistles from the refs early. I assume this means the second half they will be calling everything on everyone.
  9. Looks like quite a few red. Pretty mixed crowd.
  10. Don't know if anyone caught the podcast with Goodman and Hummel, but Goodman talked about how Indiana was playing a little with Galloway 'in his proper place, coming off the bench now'. Hummel laughed and corrected him and said Galloway had started the last eight games.
  11. I would prefer to see Leal start and Goode off the bench. We really don't have much scoring off the bench.
  12. The Bryce Jordan center on campus has a seating capacity of over 16,500. They have yet to hit 10,000 this year. Their last conference game against Northwestern had 5,500 fans. Penn State basketball is not a draw even when the team is good.
  13. We definitely picked up a lot of offensive skill positions in the portal. Defensively have only picked up two DTs (but pretty good ones) and two defensive backs. In terms of incoming freshman, it will be interesting to see if Byron Baldwin is ready to step in and start immediately -- safety, and he is the fourth highest ranked recruit IU has had in the past 25 years.
  14. Don't know if it's been mentioned, but someone to watch out for: Washington's CB Jordan Shaw has entered the portal. 37 tackles and 6 passes defended last year. Transferred to Washington from INDIANA. Was limited to three games due to injury with IU but registered 12 tackles in those three games.

  16. Even open fifteen to eighteen footers shouldn't be a priority. Shots at the rim and open threes are the shots you want. Current D1 shooting percentages: shots at the rim (within 4.5 feet): teams are shooting 63%. IU is at 71%. Shots in the paint but not within 4.5 feet: teams are shooting 41%. IU is also at 41%. Shots outside the paint but inside the arc: teams are shooting 36%. IU is at 41%. Three point corner shots: teams are shooting 35%. IU is at 32%. Three point above the break shots: teams are shooting 33%. IU is at 32%. ------------------------- The overall shooting percentages for IU aren't bad but the distribution is. Over 16% of IU's shots are coming inside the arc but outside the pain -- the shot that will produce the fewest points based on shot expectation. As a whole, the NCAA is taking only 11% of their shots there....so in essence, IU has taken those shots at a rate 50% higher than expected.
  17. Considering getting season tickets for IU football this upcoming season (it's a three hour drive for me...ticket price isn't bad, though). Does anyone know the cost of a season parking pass?
  18. Also a running back from Maryland. So that's four in conference acquisitions.
  19. We also picked up a tight end from Wisconsin.
  20. Personally, I don't think there is a guarantee that Wilson is QB2. Rather I think he'll be competing with Alberto Mendoza for that spot.
