  1. Notre Dame up 3, little more than a minute left.
  2. Have to say that to this point Notre Dame has not shown as much under Shrewsbury as people thought they would. Currently 7-6 with six losses in their last 7. UNC, though, has underperformed all year as well. they are knotted up at 66 with 3 minutes left.
  3. UNC and Notre Dame in a tight one.
  4. Any word on Tyshawn Wyatt yet? Believe he visited. James Madison offensive lineman, played both guard and tackle at JMU.
  5. High ceiling. Was ranked as the 21st best OT out of high school and was the second highest rated recruit out of Indiana. Did not get in many games for Ohio State. This season he saw 158 snaps. Started one game this season (against Nebraska). Came in midway through the game the first time OSU played Oregon. Returned back to the bench after suffering an injury against Nebraska. PFF gave him a solid run blocking grade this season but a poor pass blocking grade.
  6. As a whole, players do not hit 50% of open fifteen to eighteen foot shots.
  7. Tucker hits an okay percentage of fifteen to eighteen foot jumpers. The problem is that 35 to 40% is a decent percent on those shots. It's not a good shot to take. He has to be taught that those aren't good shots. If a team is taking a lot of those shots they will lose.
  8. I think Alberto Mendoza is #2 right now. Yet to be seen who is #2 when Tyler Cherry is healthy but sounds like he could be out awhile. The # of roster able players is changing. NCAA changed it to 105 players which is about 20 less than now BUT they didn't put a limit of the number of those players that are on scholarship, so a team could put 105 on scholly. The SEC is sticking to the 85 scholarship limit....not sure what the Big Ten is doing.
  9. Thanks. I do understand what WAB measures (and I have been running my own WAR calculations that was actually a WAB for the past couple of season). I also understand that the NCAA is recording WAB values using Torvik's method. What I don't understand is that on the NCAA NET page they list a 'WAB' measurement that gives a won/loss record and I have no idea how they are calculating it. Instead what Torvik has IU as a WAB values (which is +0.20) they give a win/loss record of 10-0.
  10. Christain Harrison (Tennessee) fits that bill. Entered college as a safety and Tennessee moved him to corner.
  11. I do look at Warren Nolan. I was just curious as to what the WAB win/loss records on the NCAA NET site meant.
  12. Cold War Kids’ “We Used to Vacation”. Very sad song about alcohol addiction.
  13. Check the NCAA NET site -- they list a column for WAB and it doesn't give a rank but rather a win/loss record. It says IU's WAB is 10-0. https://www.ncaa.com/rankings/basketball-men/d1/ncaa-mens-basketball-net-rankings
  14. IU current numbers post-Rutger: NET 62 POM 56 Torvik 58 EvanMiya 49 WAB +.20 Non-con SOS (POM) 176 Overall SOS (POM) 108 Quad 1: 0-2 Quad 2: 1-1 Quad 3: 3-0 Quad 4: 7-0
  15. I will say one thing about High Knees....unlike some other refs who also seem to make exaggerated calls, at least High Knees seems to be a decent ref.
  16. IU post Rutgers ratings: Ken Pom 56 Torvik 58
  17. Rebounding effort was good. Offensive contributions from a lot of different guys and was good to see the team finally knock down some threes. It was just a ten point home win against a Rutgers team without Harper but it was a game that IU controlled most of the way and it was accomplished without Reneau being available at all.
  18. Rutger was 85 in NET coming in so it's only a quad 3 win. However, if they finish the season at 75 or better it would go to a quad 2 and given that they are young and likely to get better as the year goes on I wouldn't be surprised that it will end up being a quad 2.
